35. Any last words?

Rubie POV:

My eyes were still shut but that wasn't stopping Lorena from enjoying the moment.

"Any last words Rubie? I mean you couldn't say enough about me before!" Lorena mocked me as I quite literally sat on my death bed.

"Yeah , I have a few things I could say to you!" I pointed out to her. I opened my eyes to look at her , knowing she was going to drag this on and enjoy every moment.

"Oh yeah , what's that?" Lorena said , now hovering over me with a steak. On the plus side she wasn't going to rip my throat out.

"Your a bitch!" I smiled. Knowing that if I was going to die I was going to die with a cocky smirk on my face.

"You don't get it do you? I win , your going to die!" Lorena laughed.

"No!" I began. "I win. Because even though you kill me they still wont love you. If anything they will hate you more!" I pointed out to Lorena. She furrowed her eyebrows .

Lorena looked like she was debating something with herself before she leant down to me , knowing if she whispered Cedrick was too weak to hear. "Since you are going to die anyway I don't see why you should die without knowing. Cassandra was never in danger. She was on my side the whole time. In the end she is going to leave Dean high and dry , she doesn't care about him. Everything she does , she does for me!" Lorena whispered and everything clicked inside. Cassandra being taken by Lorena , not being able to find her straight away. Why she didn't care that she was taken when she was with Eliza. Cassandra set us up , she set us all up.

"And that's the tragedy of you , my dear Rubie Groston. You don't live to see your own happy ending!" Lorena said as she rose the steak about to kill me. I closed my eyes , not wanting to die.

"Cedrick I love you." I whispered as I waited knowing it would hit any second.

Suddenly a roaring noise intercepted Lorena's laughter and Cedrick's gasps. I opened my eyes to see Lorena being tackled down by none other than Dean. She dropped the steak as he took her down , both of them toppling over and landing away from each other , both weakened and lay on their back.

I saw the steak and acted quickly. I used what was left of my strength considering I hadn't fed either and picked myself up , grabbing the steak and speeding over to Lorena who still wasn't up.

Lorena looked up at me shocked as we had swapped over , the tables had turned. "You know next time you want to kill a vampire you should take a page out of my book. Don't hang around gloating it , just drive a steak through their heart and look them in the eye. Like this." I smirked as I staked Lorena.

Lorena gasped and looked me in the eyes , a single tear dripping down her face as she realised that killed her.

However I didn't stay over her body to enjoy it , I didn't enjoy the fact that I had just took another life , even if it was a mean bitchy vampire who wanted me dead. Instead I ran over to Cedrick.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I rushed to his side.

"Never mind me. Are you?" Cedrick asked as he scanned my body for unhealed wounds.

"You killed her!" Dean sighed with relief. I looked at him , knowing that I had to tell him what she did , what Cassandra did. Cassandra set us all up to fail and die!

At first I wanted to kill Lorena and I did it. Now I want to kill Cassandra , and I will!
