I was always the social butterfly, going out  places and parties with my friends, my parents never really liked it I'm not sure why though I mean I had decent grades always kept my room clean so they would let me go out. The only thing now is that I am in the summer of grade 12 which means I'm going to college and I need to focus on my school more than parties when I'm there. I'm just going to have to make this summer the best, trust me I'm excited for college don't get me wrong I mean it will be fun to live away from home for a bit but I'm going to miss not being stressed and going to parties with my friends pretty much every weekend, so I am determined to make this the best one yet. "So my friend on my hockey team, you know Abby is having a party tonight, and she asked if I could bring you because she think you're absolutely hilarious " amy aka my best friend said through my phone speaker. "Well I mean people do tend to find me funny and and overall great person" I said laughing to myself. "Easy there don't get too cocky, anyways are you coming or not? And my parents said that you could sleepover at my house" she said almost sounding out of breath. "Yeah I just have to ask my parents I'm sure I can convince them to let me go so don't worry I'll be there. Should I just meet you at your house and then we will leave from there?" I say back "okay yes perfect and just text me when you get here okay? Bye" She says cheerful and hangs up the phone. I get up off my bed and toss my phone on to the side table next to it, going through social media when it's dead and all you see is couples that you're jealous of gets really boring from time to time. I close my door behind me and skip to my parents room practicing how I'm going to convince them to let me go to this party "come in" my mom says after I knock on their door. "Okay so" I say climbing onto my parents bed and trying to get straight to the point "one of Amy's friends on her hockey team is having a party and she wanted to know I could come?" I say shutting my eyes and praying that they'll let me go, no matter how many times I had asked them to go parties I was still petrified of the reaction I was going to get from them. "Oh and Amy's mom and dad said it would be okay if I were to sleepover as well" I say smiling hoping it would improve my chances. "Yes of course you can go" my dad says laughing at how dramatic I'm being. "What? Really?!" I say excitedly. "Yeah, I mean you're going to school in a few months and you're 18 I think you can go to a party" they say smiling. "Thank you both soooooo much I love you" I get up and give them both a kiss on the cheek and head back to my room. I grab my American eagle bag and pack a pair of dark skinny jeans with a white crop top and all my makeup along with my flatiron. I trot my way down the stairs slip on my shoes and being to walk to Amy's house, she didn't live too far from me, only about a 5 minute walk. 'Here' I text her and as soon as I sent it Amy's front door swung open reviling her in her pjs room clean so they would let me go out.
