Chapter 12: Open Night

We continued walking and getting to know each other, explained how we got here, how we found each other, and all that jazz. We continued to bond while the sun is slowly going down the horizon,"Hey guys do you just want to go through the night like no sleep?" I looked at Cat like she was fucking crazy,"What about Del she's still a kid and she needs her sleep," "She can sleep on somebody's back." I looked back at Nash and he shrugged, then I looked at Del and she nodded. "Ok we're in I guess."

It started with just simply walking until we thought it was a good idea to have a race, with Del on my back. "Ok so loser has to be to winner's servant for a day, good with the penalty?" I nodded and I looked at Nash mouthing, you're going to lose. He chuckled and shook his head and pointed at me, telling me that I was going to lose. I shook my head and flipped him off, laughing at his fake shocked reaction. 

I heard chuckling on the other side, so I turned and looked at Cat,"What?" "You guys are just to cute." "I AGREE!" I laughed at Delilah,"Ok so if we don't spend the night, the good news in that we get closer to D.C. but the bad news is, that we are in more danger so we gotta keep a close eye on this little pup right here." Cat said while squeezing Del's cheek,"Ok let's get this race started!" I yelled,"ONE!"

 Cat yelled,"TWO!" Nash Yelled,"THREE!" Dell yelled,"GO!" I took off running after saying my turn. The wind blew threw Del and I's hair, with leaves and twigs snapping.

"DANG ANN YOUR FAST, EVEN WITH A SMALL PERSON ON YOUR BACK," I laughed and continued running,"Whose behind us sweetheart?" "Um everyone," she laughed. "Time to kick it up a notch," I ran even faster. "GOD DAMMIT!" I heard behind me,"I KNEW YOU TOOK TRACK BUT HOW ARE YOU SO FUCKING FAST?!"

I am surprised we haven't been caught yet, by both hunters and the undead. We all began to catch up with each other while screaming and laughing. "OK OK YOUR WIN ANN DANM!" "YES BITCHES YOU GOTTA SERVE SWEETHEART AND I FOR A WHOLE DAY," I put Del down. Nash came up behind me and slid his arms across my waist,"AWW RELATIONSHIP GOALS!" 

We all laughed and decided to chill for a while to regain our energy. "So, what are you guys going to do when we get to D.C.?" I looked at Cat that was just looking at the sky,"Well to be honest, if sweetheart's parents aren't you know," I went closer to her ear,"Dead. Then I'll raise her myself and treat her as my own." I answered,"What about you Nash?"

"Well first I would go to my family and friends to check if they're ok and then help you raise Del too," He answered,"I swear you guys are so cute that I want the undead to eat me." We all laughed,"What are you going to do Cat?" "Well, I would try to help your guys with little Del here and protect you guys." Aww how sweet of her. "So sweetheart if we don't uh "find" your parents, we'll be here ok?"

"Yay!" She jumped up and hugged all of us. I looked back at the sky once she crawled off us and notice it was getting dark,"Come on time to move it's getting dark." We got up and grabbed our stuff,"TO D.C.!" We screamed, we then laughed and then we left.

~Few Minutes Later~

I heard a yawn to my left and notice Del is getting tired,"You tired sweetheart?" She nodded sleepily and raised her arms. I laughed and crouched down to her level and move my stuff to my front to let her climb on,"Hold on cause I don't want you to fall." Now that I notice this, she is smaller then most eight year olds. Also that is an irrelevant fact too.

Well this is my first open night, let's see what's going to happen.
