As I enter the hotel, I'm greeted by Saki, well that's what I call her anyway who is jogging along to hug me. I embrace her and I'm filled with the smell of cleaning products.

" Violet! I haven't seen you in ages!" she beams at me and does her puppy dog face.

"I know, I'm really sorry-", I check my watch,"-I have some time now if you want to grab a coffee?" I smile at her knowing Eisuke is expecting me back in another hour.

"Of course, yeah! My shifts just finished!" and we go off walking arm in arm.

We head to a local coffee shop and I order English Twining's Tea with a chocolate cookie and warm my hands with the pretty winter mug.

"How have you been?" I ask, realising how much I've missed her recently.

"Work has been alright, I suppose, but Erika can be cruel. I'm actually seeing someone right now." She replies, nervously.

"Really? That's so great. Come on, some details girl!"

We continue to talk like this, Saki sharing details about her new guy called Kiyohari. Apparently he's a private detective and enjoys going out, which she does too so it's working out well.

"How is my married friend then?" she teases.

"Oh Saki, it's like a dream. It's going so well right now and I can't help but feel I must of done some saintly thing to be this lucky." I say with a small, soft smile.

"Violet, you're stubborn and hot headed at times but you're also so kind and caring. You've been through a lot to be Eisuke and sacrificed more than you'd like to admit so you deserve this." Saki says, reassuring me.

"We've talked about having a family, and settling down somewhere indefinitely so I'm excited for our future together. His friends-" "The other VIP's?" "-Yeah, they're all so lovely to me now and I wouldn't know what to do with myself without them." I say to her, full of love in my voice.

We continue this small talk and I wonder about the life I've had with my husband. Eisuke was above my pitching range but yet, we'd managed to fall in love- with some compromises along the way.

"Thank-you Saki, this tea is so good here!"I say with a giggle.

"And the coffee, but I should probably stop stealing your cookie!" she laughs.

"Come to my dark side Saki, I have more delicious cookies!" I say, waving it the air with an eyebrow raised and my lips pursed. She explodes into laughter and we laugh together until our tummies hurt.
