Chapter ten: Death

Tatia's P.O.V)

My eyes fluttered open.

I looked around my bedroom.

Must've been a dream.

I get out of my bed and walk down the stairs.

I see my bat and my flashlight on the floor at the end of the stairs.

"Oh my god" I say covering my mouth.

It was real.

I pick it up and walk into the kitchen.

The glass was still on the floor with water surrounding it.

I looked around and noticed my mother was still not home.

I set the items on the counter and ran upstairs.

"I have to call my mom and the cops" I say to myself grabbing my phone.

I first dialed my mother.

*Ring Ring Ring Ring*

"Hello?" A male voice boomed over the phone.

"Who is this?" I said.

"I am a doctor, are you Monica Mintin's daughter?" He asked.

I was paralyzed.

I my bottom lip trembled.

"Y-yes" I said.

The doctor coughed.

"Listen, last night your mother was coming home from some where and um...well she was hit by a-"

"NO!" I shouted throwing my phone.

I collapsed on the floor putting my knees to my chest and holding it tight.

"NO!!!!" I screamed.

I started sobbing.

"No.." I said.

I picked the phone back up.

"Hello? Sweetie please" the doctor said.

"S-she's not dead right?" I said trying to cover my sobbs.

There was a long pause.

"She..she did. She passed away seconds after the crash" he said.

"I am very sorry" he said.

I just stared at the wall.

"Thank you" I said ending the call.

I started crying and crying.

I was so mean to her!
