As Naru knocked on the door, a few seconds later the door opened leaving all of us in shock.

A women with a dark purple victorian dress and a man in a black suit were in the doorway. They first stared at Naru and the others then they noticed Mai. They scanned Mai head to toe and a smile came across their faces.

"You must me Miss and Mister Taniyama's daughter!" The women clapped her hands cheerfully.

Mai nodded her head slowly and stared at Naru.

"We're here for business" Naru said coldly.

"I see" The man chuckled.

"Come in, Come in" They both walked out of the doorway and lead us in.

(Surprisingly they speak japanese fluently) Mai thought.

As everyone stept in, their eyes widened in amazement.

"Naru...this is your house?!" Ayako gasped.

Naru nodded his head slowly and followed his parents into the large family room. There layed on top of the fireplace was a portrait of Gene, Naru's brother.

"So you came here for business?" Naru's father asked as he raised his eyebrow.

I walk towards his father and  handed him the box. He looked up at me with concern and then he looked back to the box. "Open it honey" Naru's mother begged.

Naru's father opened the box and pulled out all the letters. His mother and father started to read all of them, after that, they neatly put everything away and stared at us. "I see." Naru's father spoke up.

"You have the necklace correct?" Naru's mother questioned.

I nodded and walked over to her and handed her the necklace. Naru's mother stared at the charm, she got up and walked into another room. A few moments later we heard a slight "yelp" coming from the room. Everyone ran into the room that his mother was in.

His mother grabbed me by the wrist and yanked me to the basement.

"W-what are you doing?!" I asked nervously.

"Were going to finish the project!" She said excitedly.

Naru's mother pulled out a bunch of boxes and files and placed them on the table. I noticed there was a lot of blood vials and tubes all over the desk. Shivers went down my spine...

"What are those?" I asked.

"Those are used when we exorcise a demon or an evil spirit. After it being exorcised the access ooze or germs from the darker spirit is still left behind, though it's dead." Naru's mother explained.

"Oh...".

"Okay! So first you're going to be going on cases and get some samples of each spirit, demon or monster you exorcise!" She said. "After that i'll tell you what to do next.".

"Only you can do certain things that they can't". Naru's mother's tone went more serious instead of happy dandy.

"Now go upstairs and head to the 3rd floor. Go to the 2nd hallway and go to the last door on your right. You should see your name tag on the door, also you're sharing a room with someone." Naru's mother started to giggle. She waved her hand, signaling me to leave.

I walked back upstairs, rubbing my wrist.

I sneakily grabbed my luggage and went to my room. Once I climbed up to the 3rd floor and walked to the end of the hallway, I looked at the name tag and my body went numb.

"NARU?!".

"Wh-why?!".

I lowered my head and entered the room. I flicked the switch and the light turned on. It was gorgeous! The room was split 50/50. One side was all classy and girl like, and the other side was plain, boy like. Right between our rooms was the changing room/bathroom.

I put everything where they belong and threw myself on the bed.

"This is going to be a long trip..."
