So. Here is Chapter 3! I can't believe how quickly I got this one done! This Chapter foes back and forth between Vincent's and Sinéad's POVs. If you don't like how I do that with the POV, then please let me know! Enjoy the chapter!

Vincent's POV

"I shouldn't have slapped her," I told my sister after I admitted to everything that happened on Tuesday night.

"You're right," she scorned me. "You shouldn't have laid a hand on her at all. And you know that if this is brought to my attention, what I'll have to do."

She was right. If Sinéad were to tell anyone what happened, I would be fired on the spot. It was a long week and Sinéad didn't show up at school even once until Monday. She took her seat beside the window that morning and she glared at me the entire time. I felt uneasy in her sight, but I knew I had to talk to her alone. I caught her turning around and whispering something to Luana and I called her out immediately.

"Detention, Sinéad," I scolded as I placed the slip on her desk.

She took the slip and tore it in half.

"I refuse," she said coldly and gave me an icey glance, I could feel my blood boiling now. "Oh. You're angry...what are you going to do about it?" She paused and faked being surprised "That's right! Nothing! There is absolutely NOTHING that you can do to me!"

She did it again! She infuriated me again. I held on to the sides of her desk tightly so that I wouldn't make the same mistake again. And she knew it. I could tell by the look in her eyes that she knew very well what she was doing to me.

"You WILL serve your detention Miss Alvord!-"

"NO I will not!" The bell rang and her face was so close to mine. "Don't make me say it." She said in a low voice that only she and I could hear.

"Say what..." I asked, figuring that she meant saying something about me slapping her last week. And by now the class was almost all gone.

"How much I hate you," she whispered.

"Go ahead, tell me," I provoked her.

She stared harshly at me before turning around and leaving the room. I felt a sense of pride as if I had just won some kind if game against her.

Sinéad's POV

"You WILL serve your detention Miss Alvord!-" He demanded.

"NO I will not!" When the bell rang, our faces were as close as they had been the night that he slapped me. "Don't make me say it." I said to him in a hushed tone.

"Say what..." he asked me as the rest of the class was leaving the room

"How much I hate you."

"Go ahead, tell me," he said with a grin, only making it worse.

I couldn't though. I wanted to say that I hated him and never wanted to see his face again for the rest of my life. But that wasn't true. The truth was that I didn't know how I felt exactly, but it was definitely a strong feeling. And I did want to see his face again. But I wanted to see it the way it was when he came back from that meeting. When he seemed happy.

I couldn't lie and I couldn't be honest. So I turned around and left the room.

"What's with you and Mr. Mercer," LuLu asked me at lunch later.

"I don't know what you're talking about," I lied to her. She clearly wasn't buying it though.

"Earlier. In French class, that was tense," she said with big eyes. "It's like you are the only student that's not afraid of him! I've never seen him so speechless before."
