Dinah p.o.v.
"Um I gotta go." Said Melani
She walked out the room as I followed her stopping her by pulling her arm
"What did you just say?" I asked
"Nothing I said nothing." She said
"No no yes you did." I said
"No I really didn't... I just said how did you like it." She said
"I thought you didn't say nothing so you did." I said glaring at her.
"Nothing." She said
"Did you say you have performed before?" I asked
"Maybe." She said
"Does your mom know?" I asked
She looked away and then looked down. She heard the door and ran downstairs.
"Guadalupe you came thank goodness." She said
"Hi dinah." Guadalupe said
"Hi Guadalupe." I said back hugging her.
"I'm gonna go to your dance room with the rest. Cece said she would be here soon." She said going upstairs
"So does your mom know?" I asked again
She looked down at her feet.
"It's a yes or no answer." I said
I took that as a no.
"No she doesn't know." She said just above a whisper
"So what do you tell her when you going to perform?" I asked
"That I'm going out with a friend." She said
"And?" I asked knowing there's more
"Or that I'm sleeping at a friends for 5 days." She said
"Why?" I asked
"Cuz I don't want anyone to know about me performing." She said
"And how long have you been performing?" I asked
"Let's see. We have last summer and this summer so only like a few months." She said
The door opened up again. It was her friend.
"Hey cece." She said
"Hey Melani." Cece said hugging her
"Hi dinah." She said
"Hi cece." I said hugging her
"Well I see you guys are talking I'm gonna go upstairs." Cece said running upstairs.
"You need to tell your mom." I said
"Fine dinah jane I will." She said giving up
"Thank you, come on its only for her to know she wants to be proud of you." I said
Her mom walked thru the door. And as soon as Melani saw her she ran grabbing her basketball.
"Bye dinah jane." She said leaving closing the door.
I ran upstairs grabbing the girls.
"Hey let's go she has something to tell you guys. I'll explain later." I said
We all ran out and to the park where we saw her playing basketball.
"I see you got some skills on the basketball court." I yelled out
