Indie music is beautiful
because it remind me of you.
Though it is ironic, as you
never took to that genre,
as it is softer and slower
than the punk you love.
However, it may always be my
favorite kind of music.
That is, for as long as my
heart decides it loves you.
The lyrics in the music
sometimes have to do with
hate.
Hating people you once
loved or simply hating them
because they are human, and
they talk, and annoy you.
Sometimes it has to do with
running away, from what,
I do not quite understand.
Family? The past? The cops?
My favorite part of the genre,
and the biggest reason
I listen to indie, is because
of the portion of love.
The ways the bands describe
the loves of their lives
always match up with how I
portray you in my head.
You're beautiful, your pale
skin and golden lashes.
The way they describe how they
feel about their women,
matches entirely each feeling,
I've felt about you.
My head gets dizzy when I
think about you too much.
I don't know if its just I'm
thinking too hard, or
you just have the tremendous
effect on my health.
A good effect, of course.
You make me feel better.
Alive, even, when most of the
time i feel numb.
My stomach has butterflies,
making my tummy feel like it
is either going to turn to
mush or combust.
While at the exact same time,
you always seem so cool and collected.
