Chapter 9: : Mind Links?

~Alex's POV~ Note that every chapter is Alex's POV unless said otherwise. If your confused.

I keep wondering who that guy was. And how he did what he did to Kylie...did he have some sort of telekinesis like Mia? Or did he have some sort of mind control power? I kept thinking about it for so long I didn't realize that Colt was calling for my attention.

"ALEX!! Did you go off to daydream land or something? I've been calling your name for 10 minutes!" Yelled Colt as he stopped suddenly and crossed his arms across his chest.

"Oh..um..yea I'm fine. What do you need?" I replied snapping back into reality.

"Are you sure? You seemed deaf." Interrupted Kylie. Also stopping and putting her hands on her waist.

"Yes. I'm. Fine. What do you need for the second time." I barked.

"Alright alright. I'm just saying that I'm hungry again. We haven't ate in two days. I think it's time to grab something to eat...but j don't want human food..I want something to hunt... I think the wolf is starting to affect the way I eat." Whined Colt. I can tell he was hungry. He was drooling.

*yea food would be nicer if she would just listen to us for once* I heard Kylie saying that but she wasn't talking. I think she mind linked it to me. Either that or I can read minds. So I tried to mind link back to her *i am gonna let you eat if you would just hold on so I can figure out where and what we're gonna eat*

Then Kylie's eyes went huge and gasped. "DID YOU JUST SEND MESSAGES TO ME THROUGH MY MIND?!?!" Yelled jumping back and putting her left hand over her mouth.

"Um...you sent me one first and I simply replied....I think since we're all wolves, we can send messages to each other through our minds...well that's helpful!!" I replied just as surprised as her.

"Wait you guys just sent messages to each other through your minds? How come I didn't get one?" Colt said as he pouted because he was feeling left out.

" I think it was because I was thinking of sending it to Kylie instead of you." I told Colt so he wasn't sad.

"We'll try sending me one." He whined. He was now whimpering like a puppy. I guess since he can't complain while being a wolf, he just whines.

"Alright. Here it goes." I tried to concentrate while they were staring at me in awe.

*Colt we're gonna have deer for dinner. Is that okay with you?* I mind linked him.

His eyes went huge. And he simply said "It worked! That will come in handy for sure. And are you serious about having deer? Because that sounds good right about now." He said to me with eager eyes.

"Yes. And I think I'm gonna go hunt for it ri-"

"No let me! I wanna tear something apart. I have too much energy to contain! Please Alex!" Barked Rufus. I guess his batteries haven't run out just yet. Hey it gives me a chance to to just relax and hang with Colt....

"Sure, why not Rufus. You can hunt tonight. It gives me a chance to clean my fur. I have mud spots on my back that have been bothering me for awhile." I said plopping my butt on a rock. We were in the woods so there's nowhere else to sit but on top of the leaves on the ground. And I don't want my butt to itch.

"YYEEESSS!!" He barked then ran off into the woods with so much speed I barely managed to see him take off.

So I layed down on my rock. Front paws crossed and my snout on top. My tail curled in between my back legs which were lying on each other. Kylie did the same except she perfectly put her front paws and back under her body and laid her snout on the leaves and drifted off into a slumber. Colt on the other paw(pun intended :p ) came trotting over to me and layed next to me. He was warm. And fluffy. He started to lick the mud off my back. It felt so weird but I like being clean and that's what wolves do for each other. After all, we're all in a pack now and we have to act like it.

"Colt why are you grooming me?" I barked.

"Well you said you wanted to get the mud off and it seemed that you couldn't reach it so I helped you. Your welcome." He barked back with that dog smile that he has in both human and wolf form.

"Thanks I guess. Well I'm gonna take a nap until Rufus comes back. Tug on me ear or something to wake me please." I mumbled drifting off into a slumber.

"Alright. I will.  Sweet dreams." He whispered as I closed my eyes.

~After a 20 minute Nap~

* Colt tugs on my ear gently with his front teeth.* "Rufus is back with two deer. Get up so we can eat." He whispered as she was getting up.

"I was successful. In the first few minutes it just took me awhile to drag them back. I think their good sized right?" He asked nervously.

"Yes, they're perfect size for us." I replied as I leaped off my rock and headed towards the dead carcasses.

"Then chow down! Let's feast!" Barked Rufus as he started eating the deer. As well did Colt, Kylie, and me.

~After eating~

"Alright time to head up towards the trees again." Barked Colt.

"Okay I'll head up first. So I can get to the top branch." Replied Kylie as she started to sink her front and back paws into the bark and started to climb up.

"I'll toss up Rufus when you get to the first stable branch." Howled Colt as she was already there.

"OKAY I'M READDYYY!!" She howled. "TOSS HIM UP!!"

"HERE HE COMES!" Then he threw Rufus up like he was a stuffed animal. He flew so fast. But Kylie managed to catch him and put him and herself on the top stable branch.

After her was me. I climbed up with ease. I got onto a branch and transformed into a human again. It felt weird but I was glad to be back.

Colt climbed up as well and got onto the branch above me. He as well transformed into human. Then Kylie. We all layed down on our branches with full stomachs and snoozed into a deep sleep. A part of me wished Colt would've laid with me on my beach but a part of me didn't. Only because I was nervous of us getting into a relationship when we are supposed to be saving Mia...don't worry Mia, I'm on my way....
