We were driving all night, but we gave up. Nicci was nowhere. Toby and I were the last two people on earth. At least we had each other to keep us company. I still worried about Nicci and Lucas. I knew they were out there somewhere, I just didn't know where to look. We lived like this for the next couple weeks. We did whatever we wanted. We had to do some work though. We went to all the surrounding houses, and collected all the food, blankets, medicine, and anything else that seemed useful.

Living alone was great. No worries, responsibilities, laws, or hate. Just love, and isolation. We enjoyed having the whole world to ourselves. Though, I thought about Nicci a lot. Every day, to be exact. We went driving one last time, just in case there was a chance of there still being people. I got home later that night, with no luck.m

Nicci wasn't answering her texts, calls, or face times. I knew she shut off her phone when she spent the night at Lucas's, but she should have turned it back on by then. Lucas hadn't turned his phone back on either. I was starting to think I was wrong, until I saw something that I had been hoping for!
