Isolation

I want to fly one day.

Reach this proverbial “sky”.

Then again don't we all?

But we have been caught in these diamond nets.

Brainwashed.

How so you stop a bird from flight?

Lock it away in an impenetrable cage?

Tie its wings together?

Or simply take away its sky.

Its ambition.

After all where will you fly if you have no destination?

Why would you fly it you have no destination?

Why bother?

Hunters would shoot you down,

and humans would pollute the clear air.

Is there no point?

Did they remove my faith along with my hope?

And Emotion?

Keep me away from all the destruction.

I do not want to witness the resurrection,

of my deepest fears.

Fancy cuffs do not hide the reality of our confinement.

Complicated designs cannot distract from the bondage.

We don't even know it,

our eyes are oblivious to the controlling hands of others.

We don't realize we're flopping and convulsing,

like fish out of water.

They stopped me from fulfilling my destiny,

but they cannot stop you,

go!

Before they take away your chance to soar!

Fly!

Leave me for dead,

I want to see one of us succeed.
