Aubree
Five years after the accident, and it was all perfect.
I was getting married to the man I loved, and we were soon to start trying for children.
I guess Dan leaving was a good thing. Otherwise we'd never have revealed to each other just how much we loved the other.
Dan was my other half.
He was my rock.
My fiancé.
My love.
My one and only love.
He was mine.
We were living in London together, in an apartment on the same floor as Phil and Emma's.
The two had a gorgeous baby girl named Winnie, much to Dan's excitement.
We'd barely even considered having children, let alone their names.
But hey, we had plenty of time before we had to worry about that.

"I'd like to make an announcement", I said, tapping my water glass with a teaspoon.
The guests of my wedding stopped dancing and looked over at me with curious expressions, wondering why I'd just interrupted my own wedding reception.
"Well, some of you have been asking why I'm not drinking champagne like my lovely husband here, and, well, I'm pregnant!", I exclaimed.
Dan choked on his drink next to me.
I sat back down and smiled at my husband.
"You excited?", I asked.
"Of course. I'm ready for sleepless nights of parenthood and crying children and diaper changing. Oh god diaper changing no no, big bag of nope that's your job", he said.
I laid my head on Dan's shoulder.
"We'll figure it out, we're team Daubree"
He smiled and grabbed my hand.
"I thought it was team Bran dangit"
~
"CHRISTOPHER! ROBIN! TIME FOR SCHOOL!", I screeched at my seven year old children.
Christopher came down first, wearing his school shirt backwards and sporting some lovely bed head.
"Oh gosh, go find your father, he can fix this", I groaned.
Robin came down soon after, her brown hair tied into two uneven pigtails.
"Honey, come here, let mummy fix your hair".
I let her shoulder-length hair down and pulled it into two even bunches.
Parenthood, to say the least, was hard.
I don't recommend it if you're lazy.
"Aubs, have you got the car keys?", Dan called through the house, walking into the entryway with a now fixed-up Christopher.
"Yep", I said, swinging the keys around my finger.
We piled into the car and drove the kids to school, watching them walk into the gates for another busy day at school.
"We made those", I smiled as our kids linked arms and talked to each other.
"I say we did a pretty good job", Dan smiled, his eyes following on.
I pecked him on the lips and backed out of the school parking lot.
We had a long day of filming YouTube videos and editing ahead of us.
Life was perfect. It was a little rocky at first, but it smoothed out with a bit of effort.
All because of a Pen Pals project in twelfth grade.
