 "Champion, I hope this is good news," Marcus said, his voice low and sharp.

                          
	Champion knelt on one knee. "Target escaped, sir. I apologize."

                          
	Marcus bristled. His tool's voice was emotionless and thus lacked genuine sincerity. Another thing to grate on his nerves as Yin skipped around in and out of town, searching anywhere and everywhere for her brother. 

                          
	"Where did you find her and where do you suspect she has hidden herself away?" Marcus demanded more than asked. He was stations above this test subject, of course, and thus did not have to treat Champion as a human being.

                          
	"I found her talking with Subject One, sir," Champion answered obediently. "I currently have no locations that I think that the target has disappeared to."

                          
	Marcus growled. "Then you should start your search, should you not? Do not let her leave your side alive."

                          
	"Yes, sir."

                          
	"Get out of my sight."
