My thoughts were still gnawing at the back of my head when I arrived at the airport.
"Flight 13B boarding in fifteen minutes."
I hated to leave our relationship in shambles like it was, but I just didn't know how to fix it. Maybe he'd have to figure it out on his own time. I was so sick of time. I wanted to cuddle with him on the plane and walk into our apartment and complain over jet lag, yet stay up extremely late anyways playing Just Dance. I wanted him. I wanted to hold his hand. I wanted his warm embrace.
My hands were folded neatly in my lap while I waited until it was time to board the plane. I shook the thought of Mark out of my head and sat straighter. Who was I kidding? I already had to play this act when Mark and I 'split up'. I don't want to pretend anymore. I was devastated, and hell, I was going to act that way. No more fake smiles and phony laughs.
Mark's P.O.V
I glanced at my suitcase with dread. It was full to the brim with everything I could manage to fit in it. The moving trucks could get the rest. I read over (y/n)'s note again and sighed, tugging on my suitcase and walking out the door. I was done with our little make-up break-up situation. If she said she didn't sleep with him, she didn't, and I had every right to believe her. I did believe her. Which explained why I was packing up all my stuff and meeting her at the airport. I was moving in. My lease was up earlier than I had thought, so I was ready to go. I gripped the steering wheel in excitement until my knuckles turned white. I hope she doesn't mind my last minute decision. I took one last glance towards the house before I sped off.

The airport was packed with the hustle bustle of travelers. I pushed through security to the waiting area.
There she was. A tear stained her otherwise flawless cheek. A sad smile formed on my lips. I waited for her to make eye contact as she looked hopelessly through the crowds of people. Finally hers eyes settled on me and they popped in astonishment. She glanced at my suitcase and back up at me and a smile- a smile so bright I swear it blinding my eyes- spread across her face. I missed the slight wrinkle in the corner of her eyes and the dimple in her cheeks. She lifted herself from her chair and tried her best to run over to me. I dropped my suitcase and held out my arms to grab her and pull her tight to my chest.
"What made you change your mind?" she mumbled into my sweatshirt.
"I slept on it and when I woke up I felt so dumb." I set her down and held her in front of me. "Why would I believe Abel when I can believe you?"
Her smile returned once again as she wrapped herself in my embrace. "That's what I've been trying to say this whole time." she giggled
"I know, I just had to sleep on it."
She stepped back and glanced at my suitcase. I chuckled nervously and scratched the back of my neck. "I -uh hope you don't mind, my lease ended early, and I thought-"
She answered by pressing her lips into mine. I smiled into the kiss and picked her up once again spinning her around in a little circle.
"Promise me one thing." she said with a smile
"Anything darling."
"Promise me that we won't keep any secrets. We'll tell each other everything?" she messed with the string in my hoodie with a smirk.
"I promise." I smiled and pressed my lips onto hers again. This feeling would never get old.
"Good."
"Now promise me something." I stated
"Anything darling." she mimicked
"Promise that you'll never fall out of love with me."
She focused her vision intently on my eyes and paused. "I promise."

We got off the plane in a hurry, ready to get home. All I wanted to do was complain about jet lag, and cuddle on the couch with (y/n). She gripped my hand tightly as she drove us home. Home. It had a nice ring to it. Back in LA again. I guess I couldn't leave. I smiled and leaned my head back on the rest, shutting my eyes.

"Markkk wake up." she whispered, gently rubbing my arm.
"Hm?" I slowly opened my eyes to her smile and stretched my arms with a loud yawn.
"We're here."
"Right."
I pulled myself out of the car and helped drag in our suitcases. As I was walking up the apartment stairs with the suitcases in hand, a very sharp pain shot through my hip.
"Ah!" I gritted my teeth and let go of the suitcase so I could grab my leg in pain.
(Y/n) was only a few steps ahead of me so she immediately turned and ran to my assistance.
"Woah. Are you okay?" she asked
"Yeah it- my hip- it hurts like hell." I muttered through clenched teeth.
"What'd you do?" she used her body to hold my weight as she guided me into the apartment, setting me gently on the couch.
"That's the thing. I didn't do anything. It came out of nowhere." I gingerly rubbed at my hip and the pain started to fade.
She walked away for a second to grab the suitcases from the stairs. "Well be careful!" she hollered from the stairs with a small giggle.
She finally walked through the door, struggling with both of the suitcases.
"What did you pack? Rocks?""How'd you know?" I laughed as she managed to roll the luggage back to the rooms. She came back out afterwards and sat next to me on the couch.
"You know I've been thinking about what we said at the airport and I-" I fumbled around in my head for the correct words.
"And what?"
"I think I want to make things official, (y/n)."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. So with that being said, will you be my girlfriend?" my cheeks heated up from the intensity of the moment.
"Hm I don't know Mark, I think you'll have to beat me in a game of Mario Kart first." My nervousness immediately faded with her remark.
A devious grin appeared on my face as I thought about the circumstances. "Oh you're so on."
