Chapter 15

Nicki
"Meek I can't even answer that question" I said. Then Meek let out a sigh.
"I don't believe I'm saying this but. If you need sometime apart...i'll give you time to get your thoughts together." Meek said I was so surprised.
"Really?" I said
"Yes. If you want to start packing again you can. I think that's what's best for our relationship." He said and he rubbed his head and closed his eyes.
"Me too" I said and went back to the closet and when I was done packing Meek carried my things to the door.
"Remember I love you" he said putting my things in the trunk. Then I looked at him in his sad eyes then turned away quickly heading to the front seat and he stood at the window.
"Well...bye Meek" I said starting the engine and Meek went back in the house and slammed that door so damn hard. 

Meek
I slammed that door so hard I thought it was gonna break off. This was the hardest shit I had to do but I just told myself over and over again that we were still a couple but she needed time to get her thoughts together. I don't know how long she's gonna stay but I feel bad for Papi because God knows what will pop in his head once I tell him Nicki gonna be gone for a while. I really don't want to lie to him and tell him that she's on business or vacation. I don't know what to do at this point. I was interrupted of my thoughts when I heard my phone ring, it was Na.
"Hey Na wassup" I said walking upstairs to the room.
"Why you ain't take Papi home tonight is something wrong?" She asked and I sighed as she said that because I was thinking about Nicki.
"Me and Nicki got into a little argument...and she needed time to think so she left" I said.
"Y'all broke up?!" Na said almost screaming into the phone.
"Nah nothing like that. We just need time apart." I said.
"Oh. I was about to say. Well at least Papi wasn't there to witness anything." Na said
"Yeah you right" I said and there was a awkward silence.
"Well...you wanna talk to Papi?" Na asked breaking the silence.
"Uh yeah" I said.
"Hi daddy!" Papi said.
"Hey lil man. I'm getting you tomorrow" I said to him.
"Yes! But where's mommy? I want to talk to her!" He said
"Uh... You gotta have auntie Na call her phone number." I said and I know Na has Nicki's number.
"Aww okay" Papi said
"Alright son it's almost your bedtime and in getting you at 9:00am and we might go to grandmas" I said.
"Okay bye daddy love you" Papi said
"Aight love you too son" I said and hung up.

Nicki
I was on my way to Sherika's and I got a phone call really hoping it was Meek because I was ready to come back and I needed to apologize as well because we didn't even discuss this problem correctly because of my stubborn ass.
Then I noticed it was Na.
"Hey Na" I said
"This isn't auntie Na this is Papi" he said and giggled a little.
"Oh! Hey baby what you doing" I said to him glad I was talking to him.
"I was eating" he said
"Oh. Are you coming with me and daddy to grandmas house tomorrow when he picks me up." He said and my heart dropped.
"I don't know baby" I said
"Okay" he said sadly.
"Well. I want you to finish your food and I have to talk to daddy. So bye baby goodnight" I said.
"Goodnight mommy. Love you" he said
"Love you too" I said and the call ended and I decided to surprise Meek at home so I turned my car around to head back home.
(At home)
I quietly opened the door so Meek wouldn't hear. Then my heart dropped when I saw him with his head buried in his palms and he was shaking his head on the bed.
"Meek. I'm sorry we didn't talk earlier" I said as I walked over to him.
"I forgive you Nicki and I love you but I just need you to forgive me" he said with his hands still over his face.
"I do forgive you Meek. That's why I came back" I said leaning on his shoulder. But I noticed when I said that he was still upset.
"Meek what's wrong?" I asked.
"Me and Papi were about to go to my moms house to see her and a hospital called me and told me my mom had cancer for a while and they said..." Meek's voice got really low.
"Meek what is it?" I asked worried that I would hear something very unpleasant.
"They said she only got a couple months to live at most 4" he said
"Meek I'm sorry baby" I said devastated that she won't be able to come to our wedding or see our kids. Also Papi will be so sad. Then Meek got up fast and punched the wall.
"WHY?!" He yelled pacing back and forth in the room.
"Meek, baby calm do-"
"WHAT HAVE I'VE DONE!?" he yelled cutting me off and I went over to him and started rubbing his back.
"At least they didn't call and say her day was today" I said. I didn't get an answer back.
" Yeah I know. But I can't believe she didn't tell me." He said.
"A lot has happened today in just ready to go to sleep" he added calmly and got up and got in the bed.
"Okay" I said and went to change into my pajamas. But when I came back in the room I saw that Meek was looking up at the ceiling.
"Why aren't you sleeping babe?" I asked.
"I was just thinking" he said as I turned the light off and got in the bed and he turned over and put his arms around me and we fell asleep.
