~*"Hannah!! Could you come down stairs for a minute?" I heard my mom shout down stairs. I quickly put away my pen and notebook into my desk and walked downstairs into the family room where my mom was seated taking a sip of green tea in a china glass "ma'-am?" I replied to her wondering why I was called away from my room. " me and your father are taking Maisey to her appointment tonight, we'll be gone for a few days" my mom said looking up from the book she was reading " tonight? I thought you guys were leaving tomorrow?" I told her. My 9 years old sister had broke her ankle last week by falling off a hay bale in our front yard and mom and dad had to take her to a specialist-which is 7hours away from our house "I got the dates mixed up so we have to leav tonight and then it will be storming the day we would come back so we'll stay an for an extra night then we'll come back" she explained "why not just cancel the appointment?" I asked her,I wasn't to easy about staying home alone-my cousin says I'm just a scaredy cat,I might be but owell-she's scared of bad weather or storms...we all have fears."Becuase the next scheduled would be a month from now..she can't wait that long it's already been 3months since her last appointment" she told me,probably starting to get annoyed with my questions "well,why can't I go with you?" I asked her "the hotel doesn't allow pets and someone has to take care of Alex!!" She said "I it makes you feel better you can have a friend over to stay too so you won't be alone" she continued "Mom,are you ready? Dads loaded the car" my sister,Maisey said coming in from the kitchen "yes Im ready.bye love you Hannah. Be careful and don't have any parties while we're away" my mom said hugging me. Asif I would have a party? That's crazy!! "Bye Hannah" my sister said limping over to me with crutches hugging me "Bye Maisey" I watched them walk to the car and saw the. Drive away. I immediately grabbed my phone from my pocket and texted Brooke,she was my best friend since we were 8- were 16 now...eight years we've been best friends and nothing would change that *Hey could you stay over tonight? The fams taking Mai somewhere and Im home alone * almost immediately I got a text back saying *Yeah,it'll be awhile though,My brothers back and we're going to have dinner somewhere fancy * I sighed and texted back *Nah it's okay,ti ahead and stay with your bro.i'll be good* then my phone dinged again but not from Brooke..from my other friend Shane *hey,I'm bored.wanna go to the Movies?* next Brooke texted *you sure? I can still come just be a while* so I replied to Brooke with*yeah I'm sure,I think I'm going to the movies with Shane * finally I replied to Shane with *Yeah I'll go,meet ya there? I asked him *no,go outside with your skateboard* I grabbed my skateboard from the closet by the door and walked outside seeing Shane on his skate board holding his phone "how'd you know I'd say yes?" I asked him " I just know you" he smiled. I have had a crush on Shane since forever! I don't know if it's his dark brown shaggy hair and green eyes or adventurous and sarcastic personality that made me like him or if it was just the fact he's an amazing friend,but I do like him for sure. We rode together have meaningless chats and small talk full of laughter and jokes until we got there "what movie ha wanna see?" He asked me looking At the rang of movies on the list "I don't know you pick?" I told him. We both decided on Mockingjay pt 1,we went to get popcorn and everything else at the snack bar and went inside the theater excited and trying to carry all the food we got

When we left he went his way I went mine.we live on different streets so we had to spilt as soon as we left the cinema. "Psssstttt" I heard quietly,I turned around to make sure nobody was around me and when I turned I saw nothing but my own shadow,so,etching was telling me to turn around "Shane" I kept hearing behind me I suddenly got freaked out ip so I stopped riding and turned around"hello?" I asked...I heard footsteps trailing behind me I turned around again and- " GBAHOO!!" Somebody grabbed me by my waist and spun me around,set me down and was in a fit of laughter doubling over,just then I realized it was Shane playing tricks on me "you.....shoul-d have-seeheenn your face" he said still laughing "it's not that funny," I say giggling "oh puh-lease!!" He said I stood watching him laugh so hard to a crying point until he looked up and screamed " Hannah move!!" The next the I know I was pushed down and I heard a loud screech,honk and screaming. I turned around quickly ano what I saw frighten me, Shane laid over on the rode and the car right in front of him with the driver beside trying to wake him up...my heart was pounding out of my chest and tears were streaming down my face in a fluid motion,I don't even remember anything except going to the hospital freaked out and shaken up with the police asking me questions on what happened..----hours past and I kept asking about Shane witten and they had no answers...well they have them but won't tell me,they tried contacting his family but the only person who picked up was his sister Ella and she was at college taking exams a whole state away "Ma'am are you Hannah jassen?" One of the doctors asked me I nodded my head softly "mr.witten has requested to see you" I followed the doctor to room 234 and went in "you stayed here?" Shane asked me shocked "yeah,why wouldn't I?" She shrugged and said " I thought you'd be mad at me for scaring you and getting myself into this thing and you almost hurt" I said looking down shyly,which wasn't usual for Shane. He didn't have a shy bone in his body! " I'm not mad at you,and what's wrong with...you?" I asked rather confused " well besides being in a hospital...?" He carried off " I meeaaannn,what's the damage?" " I have a broken ankle and fractured rip" he said "you can fracture your rib?" I asked stunned "appearantly" he said shrugging " this boy is brave" the doctor,who I forgot was standing in the door way said "if it was you who had got hit there would have been major problems because of your position,but he is taller and was at a different angle so he only had minor bridge,he had good intentions and has a true heart I can tell you that!" The man said walking away " yeah you do" I told him smiling "hey lean down" he told me,I leaned over and he kissed me..shocking,when he pulled away he smiled and I said " well I was expecting a whisper or something but that works" we both laugh and carried on watching the wheele of fortune on the tiny tv in the hospital.
