*Hides behind James to avoid tomatoes* Heeyyyy readers. So sorry it's taken so long to update. French exams... Anyway. Hope you enjoy this chapter! It's a short one that involves a lot of POV switching. Whoops.
James POV
After I watched Li-Evans get absolutely flustered, it was time to go to the feast. Padfoot, Moony, Wormtail, and I sat in our usual spots at the Gryffindor table while Evans and Marlene went to their usual spots on the complete opposite side. I sighed, here I was thinking that Lily and I could start a new page in our book but I guess I need to try harder.
Lily's POV
At the feast, I found myself glancing at Potter more than I'd care to admit... I'm just intrigued on why he hasn't asked me out or annoyed me at all. He caught me looking at him and winked. I blushed and looked down. Wait.. Blushed?! Get a hold of yourself Lily! I thought as I fought my blush down. When I looked up, I saw Marlene staring at me with an eyebrow cocked.
"What's wrong?" She mouthed. I only shook my head an examined my shepards pie. I snuck a glance at Potter and watched as he scribbled something on a piece of parchment and sent it flying towards me in the shape of a bird. When it landed on my plate, I unfolded it and read.
Staring Evans? Was scribbled in the typical boy handwriting. I looked up and gave him my famous death glare. He only winked and laughed. I wrote a reply under his note. No I'm just intrigued on why you haven't made me want to stab my eyes out with a fork. I must have accidentally wrote a little to aggressive because the parchment was covered in little holes.. Whoops.
I muttered, "Repairo." And sent the bird back to Jam-Potter.
Turns out that Marlene had been reading over my shoulder and saw my blush.
"OH MY GOSH!! YOU LIIIKKKEEE JAMES!!!" She squealed very loudly. The whole hall turned and looked at us. Including James...
