*Of Verona - Intro to Revelations*
-
I opened the door to the McCall home with my key. I carried in coffee and breakfast for Melissa, Scott, and Isaac. The sacrifices are still happening and apparently they think it's healers that are being ritually sacrificed at the moment. Scott and Isaac wanted me over last night to keep watch with them over Melissa but I was too busy looking into the book I got from the weird man over the summer. And by too busy I mean being completely confused by the weird formatting of it.
"Really, boys? Boys!" I heard Melissa yell as I walked up the stairs. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Uh, we were watching over you." Isaac said.
"We wanted to make sure you weren't the third sacrifice." Scott said as I opened the door. I smiled at Melissa.
"But both of you were asleep." I laughed quietly. These boys.
"You were on watch last." Scott whisper-yelled to Isaac.
"What are you talking about? You were on watch last." Isaac faught back.
"No, you were on watch last." Scott said again. Isaac thought about it for a second.
"I might've been on watch last." he concluded. I shook my head.
"My heroes. Wait, didn't you say that they were all doctors? I mean, I haven't had an M.D. recently attached to the end of my name, so I think I'm in the clear." I sat on Melissa's bed and handed her food and a coffee.
"Yeah, but it could just come under any kind of healer, mom, and you were definitely a healer last night." Scott said. He reached for the food and I messed with him for it.
"Yeah, well, I'm not gonna be anyone's human sacrifice today, so both of you get your butts to school." Melissa said while getting out of bed.
"I can drive you guys" I offered. I finally gave Scott the food. He and Isaac got their share.
Waiting for the guys to get ready was longer than waiting for Sarah to get ready and that's saying a lot. Sarah sat in my car, in the driveway waiting for us.
"Boys! You're gonna be late!" Isaac and Scott scrambled down the stairs and out the door. I drove to the school and dropped them off. They weren't late, thanks to my superb driving skills. I drove to Derek's to see my little ball of sunshine that brightens up my day so fucking well. Ugh, I'm whipped and I hate to admit it.
I pulled up into a parking spot next to his car. He loves this thing more than he loves himself and it's a little sad. I walked up the steps to his loft and pulled the door open.
"Sammy" Derek was waiting for me at the door. He picked me up and spun me around. I would've been squealing with joy if I hadn't caught a scent. I laughed absentmindedly while trying to figure out who was here. Well, Cora was here but it wasn't her scent. It was another woman, but she wasn't a werewolf. Derek set me down on my feet.
"What's wrong?"
"Hm. Nothing. I'm just glad you're okay" I smiled as I ran my hands up his chest and around to his shoulders. His wounds were gone. I didn't feel them and he didn't flinch. I heard footsteps coming from outside. By the sound of the steps, I knew it was Isaac and Boyd. I walked around Derek and sat on the couch. The door was pulled open and Isaac and Boyd walked in. I literally just dropped him off.
"Go back to school." Derek said to the boys. I waved at them.
"Well, actually, we can't. Boyd and I are incredibly and unbelievably sick." Isaac said while setting his bag next to me.
