“Daisy, Daisy wake up sleepy head, you’re going to be late for school, I’ve made you your favorite waffles with strawberries” Jaiden said

“You’re here, that means you never left” I said my voice low but with excitement

“I’ve never left Daisy; I’ll always be with you in your heart remember that, I made you a promise that I’m not going to break.” His smile was bright and his eyes were twinkling

“Please don’t leave again Jai, please don’t go” I pleaded

“You’re strong baby girl, don’t give up, and don’t be sad, Victoria needs you and so do mom and dad” he said his voice gentle making me want to cry but knowing that I wasn’t going to be able to.

“I love you Dais, always and forever” he said as his image became blurrier, and I couldn’t see him in sight anymore.

I woke up abruptly panting at the dream I had with my brother, my body was shaking and I was screaming my brother’s name. My mom and dad rushed into my room as soon as they heard me.

“Sweety what’s wrong? What happened? Are you okay?” my mom rushed her words out as she took my appearance in. I was pale and sweating profusely,

“I had a dream with Jai again; I whispered hanging my head low avoiding their gaze. My mother and father both hugged me tightly soothing my back gently.

“It’s okay Dais, it’s okay” my dad said just loud enough for me to hear. They both gave me a kiss on the cheek and left the room.

It was already time for me to get up, so I decided to get ready for school. I wasn’t looking forward to today but knew I had no other choice. I decided to wear a pair of leggings and a red sweatshirt that said Los Angeles, with my boots and a beanie, I guess you could say I was preppy but casual. I curled my blonde hair at the ends making it flow gracefully down my back.  I packed a change of clothes in my duffle bag, since today I was going to try out for the track team.

I went downstairs and decided to skip breakfast today since I didn’t want my parents giving me awkward stares, I gave a long kiss on the cheek to my princess and a kiss to my mom and dad. I walked Victoria to her bus stop, and drove off to school.

On my way there I decided to stop by Starbucks since that was what I needed, caffeine. Once I entered I was welcomed with the wonderful smell of coffee that filled my nose sweetly.

“Hi welcome to Starbucks what can I get you? The guy working the cash register asked me

“Can I get a tall chocolate chip Frappuccino, please and a banana nut muffin” I told him as I looked up at his eyes and realized he had gorgeous gray eyes.

“Of course” he said as he smiled at me flashing his pearly whites

“Umm, how much is it going to be? I asked unsure why he didn’t give me the total yet.

“It’s on the house don’t worry about it”

“Thanks but I’d rather pay for it, so how much is it” It was a sweet gesture but I didn’t like owing people anything. He was taken aback from my response but smiled anyway

“It’s on the house cutie, don’t worry about it” he insisted it was on the house but I was obviously more stubborn than him

“I don’t know you and I don’t like owing people can you please just give me the total so I can pay you? I was annoyed by this point and was ready to just leave

“How about this, you can go on a date with me and we can call it even? He smirked as he waited for my response

“Excuse me? Go out with you, I don’t know you! Trying to bribe me with my order isn’t going to get me to go out with you buddy” I said ticked off
