I lost the spelling bee...*sighs deeply* I made it to the last round, the Rapid Fire one in which you have to spell as many words as possible in 40 seconds.
I got nervous and asked to repeat twice and passed twice and stuff, so..yeah.
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, BOTH MY FRIENDS IN THE 15-17 AGE GROUP GOT POSITIONS!!! ONE BECAME NATIONAL CHAMPION, THE ONE WHO HAS NEVER BELIEVED IN HER SELF AND ALWAYS SAYS SHE'S UNLUCKY EVEN THOUGH SHE'S THE MOST PERFECT HUMAN BEING–UGH. AND IT WAS THE FIRST TIME SHE EVER GOT TO THE REGIONALS AND THE NATIONALS AND THIS WAS HER FOURTH TIME!
The other became 1st Runner Up.
Just like when I won, we had a MASSIVE group hug and it was amazing..now I'm depressed because no more spelling bee classes until next year and then my friends in the 15-17 age group will have left and there'll be no other 15-17 team because the current ninth grade sucks at this kind of thing..
