The first Christmas he could clearly remember was also his best Christmas ever. His trip back home brought back memories of what it felt like to be a child again, waking up to Mom already cooking the ham for dinner later in the day. He got to see his old playground, and reunite with his childhood dog—everything that happens in the movies that ABC Family plays every year. Or, that's how it felt.

There were even speakers hooked to the central lamp posts in the middle of the city, and snow fluttering onto the already pillowing sidewalk as families did last minute holiday shopping for distant relatives.

He was also unfortunate enough to get that part of the movies where two people meet, and they have a cliché Christmas romance as if winter is the modern day cupid, or a contagious season of love.

       Tis the season.
