A lot of people have a favorite holiday
It could be anything
But others don't feel that joy you get during that holiday
I loved then hated holidays.
My Favorite Holiday used to change all the time
St. Patrick's Day
Valentine's Day
Easter
Halloween
Thanksgiving
Christmas
New Years
I never stayed with one holiday.
Then a few years ago during the height of all my problems, I tried to blame them.
The Holidays.
They brought my family together
We had food
A house
Yet I saw them as horrible things
A way of rubbing other's joy and happiness in my face
To show me just how unhappy I was.
But something changed in the past two years.
I've learned to start enjoying them more
Singing along louder
Dancing without a care.
Maybe this holiday season, I will have joy and happiness along side everyone else.
