I'll start high school next month. The only really noticeable difference from after the surgery is my lack in...boobs. What if the transphobes are all "Why did you shave off your boobs?" "You have a dick now?" Stupid.
I really shouldn't be worried about this. Their opinions don't matter at all. I guess I just want people to accept me for who I am.
I've done some more studying up on Mandarin, and I can form simple sentences now. Turns out it came in handy today. I went school supply shopping this afternoon and my mom sent me off on my own. While I was looking for cheap stuff a boy walked up to me, and I turned around to face him. Holy shit, he was cute. He was Asian with the most adorable face, and his eyes sparkled and his hair fell in just the right place.
"Does. You. Speak. The Mandarin?" he asked in terribly broken English.
It took me a minute to reply. "一下," I said. That means "a little."
"好。我找铅笔. 他们在哪?" he said slowly in response so I could understand. (He said, "Okay. I'm looking for the pencils. Where are they?")
After piecing together what he asked, I pointed in the direction of the pencils.
"谢谢," (Thank you).
"不客气," (You're welcome).
Then we went our separate ways. He seemed nice. I wish I had exchanged more words with him than just that. Should have asked for his phone number...or where he would go to school. But I didn't really know all the words for that.
My mom is gonna make me label all my binders later today. It will suck so hard. Like me.
Sorry.
I'm just gonna go before I make things worse.
