"home is where the heart is"
is what i would say if my heart wasn't so shattered.
because i'm "all bent out of shape" at the edges,
with hammered alcohol on my skin.
"skinny love" was a beautiful kind of love until i felt his heart try to un-attach itself from it's rib-cage.
whoever said "all is fair in love and war" has never seen me die in his heart's battle.
and i thought a rainbow was worthy of "a king's ransom" but then they found the pot of gold.
it would be "as easy as a b c" but i never learned
the alphabet in time to the "beat of the drum".
it's "all hunky dory" but dory's drowning in her
home.
if clichés were meant to be perfect, they shouldn't be so full of flaws.
