            If silence is worthy of gold, shouldn’t she be rich by now?

She can’t release her manual gags, not allowing for unnecessary word,

Is that why they look, but never speak?

Never her hand to seek?

But her eyes, they do more than see- they cry.

They cry for dreams and wonders she knows she shall likely never find,

She tells herself she does not need them, nor their charm,

But deep inside, there’s a little girl who is quite tired of being ignored, and she wails in alarm.
