V i o l e t
I'm never going to leave my fluffy island, I thought.

Suddenly my alarm goes off. I groaned.

"Is it Monday already?" I shouldn't watch Netflix until 3am yesterday.

I need to wake up, but my warm blanket isn't helping. It's so fluffy and I can just skip school for today, right?

"Wake up Violet or I'm coming up!" yelled my brother. I think it is Nash, or Will. I dont know but I know for sure that is isn't Hayes.

"Shut up." I mumbled, still half-sleeping.

"Get ready for school, we can't be late on our first day." My blanket is pulled from me,  and I groaned because the sunlight hurts my eyes.

I sat up and rub my eyes. When I open them I see Nash standing beside my bed.

"Can I just skip school for today? I'm kinda lazy." I say as I pull my blanket from him.
"I made pancakes for breakfast. Hayes is going to eat yours if you don't come downstairs" He smirks.

"I'm up, i'm up!" I sit up immediately.

"Get ready first." I nod and Nash goes downstairs.

I walk to my bathroom and do my usual morning routines.  I decide to wear a graphic tee with  "Don't know Don't care" written on the front and pair it with jeans.

I brush my hair, grab my bag and go downstairs to the dining room. The smell of pancake makes my stomach growls. I can't deny the fact that Nash can cook.

"Good morning Violet, good luck on your first day!" said my mom as she closes the front door.

"Bye.. mom." I say, knowing that she doesn't hear me.

"The fact that we just got here in LA and she's already working blows my mind. Like, take a break or something." Hayes says before pouring syrup to his pancakes. Nash just shrugged.

I sit down between them and eat my pancake quietly while I read wattpad.

We finish our breakfast and go to school using Nash's jeep.

"Do you think that there will be any hot girls in our new school?" Hayes says before Nash smacks him in the head.

"Ouch! What was that for?" Hayes protests.

"You're too young to think about girls." Nash said and I laugh.

"I'm a freshman already!" He whines.

My first impression of the school when I get out the car is, the school is gigantic! The parking lot itself is bigger than my old school.

I walk behind Nash, almost beside him but I want to be hidden because I'm the new girl.

Boys around my age are whistling at me but I just glare at them. So much for not wanting to be noticed.

It's because of my eyes, I thought.

I'm always the center of attention because of this damn stupid eyes.

Why can't they be blue or brown or anything normal but this?!

Many people said that I'm unique and stuff. Yes, I am. But people make a huge deal about it. They always ask me how does it feel to have a different eye color, do I see world in black and white? Hell no.

"Nash" I whispered.

"Yeah?"

"They're looking at me. It's so uncomfortable."

"It's because we're new. Just ignore the stares." I frown. He doesn't understand what it feels like to be different. Maybe he understands because his eyes are in the shade of clear blue, which is rare but there are some people who has that shade too but I never saw anyone with the same eye color as me.

I just hope this day went well.
