Intense Training

Percy (blade) POV
I was in the arena, helping the younger campers with sword fighting when Clarisse walked up to me "hey you, I bet I can beat you in one minute" she said arrogantly "oh really? Grab your spear, I'll be counting down from sixty to zero seconds" I said as she walked over to the wall and grabbed her spear "yeah yeah let's do this" she said as she readied herself for the fight, I drew my sword, which was riptide but now it was Stygian Iron. We circled each other until Clarisse lost her patience and trusted her spear toward my abdomen but I used my sword to swat it away, she growled and quickly walked over to the wall and grabbed a shield "fourty seconds left" I taunted her, she adjusted her grip on her spear and threw her spear at my head, my reflexes kicked in and I caught her spear, I then held it in front of me and broke it over my knee, her face went wide with shock "there's still ten seconds left" I said. She straitened herself and dropped her shield, she scowled at me and left the arena, I looked over and saw the whole camp staring at me "training isn't over, get back to work" I said.

One hour later
Still Percy POV
I was still helping the campers with sword fighting and Nico went into the woods to teach the rest about stealth, Nico's always been better when it came to stealth, I guess being the son of Hades helps, anyways I was focusing on helping this thirteen with his sword, he was having trouble holding his sword and hid stance is off "you're wasting your time, he's not gonna get it" an Apollo camper said "we need all the soldiers we can get, why wasn't this boy properly trained before I got here?" I asked "we didn't expect there to be another war, at least not in our life times, so we figured why bother" he said "it is the responsibility of each generation of demigods to train the next generation, one small mistake and the demigods could be wiped out, do you understand?" I asked harshly "y-yes" he said before walking off to the archery range "that sounds like something I once said" I heard someone say behind me, I turned around and saw Chiron standing there "where did you hear that?" he asked curiously "it's common knowledge in this world of ours" I said "common knowledge? Well I would agree with you but the campers never retain it, to them it's just train, fight, and die" he said "well then I guess I was the only one who listened to you" I said, Chiron had a confused look on his face after I said that "wait, you were a demigod?" he asked "a long time ago" I told him "who are you?" he asked "I wish I could tell you, but my identity must remain a secret, I'm sure you understand?" I asked, hoping he would leave me be "yes I do, I'll leave you to your training" he said before trotting off
