Her heart ached when she saw the picture of her brother .Something was blinking on the top left corner of the screen, may be a number or something like that. Lia moved the cursor to that blinking area and clicked on it. After clicking, it became stabilised and made it visible to read Subject 14.

She is totally confused now. Thousands of thoughts wandering in her head. She was not able to figure out anything. Everything was so peculiar. There were many thoughts in her mind like what Subject? What is subject 14? Why is his picture here? Is DR.KILBY OR ANY OTHER OF THIS CORPORATION is responsible for his death??

Lia was busy in her thoughts when she notices some sounds coming towards the room. She suddenly crouches so that she will not be visible to the person who's coming.

Then she hears the sound of knob being turned and the sounds became more distinct. The footsteps were pounding and heavy , it seemed that they belonged to men, strong men. She slowly brings her head a little  above the desk to see who's there.

She saw two men wearing dark uniform just as same as the one she saw wearing the security guards ,  sunglasses, bluetooth and most incredible - AK47. Wow!! I also want one. She thought. Then Lia understood that they are a sort of important security guards.

Both of them had serious looks but the one who was shorter in height , just by few inches, looks as he was bored in this job while the taller one, was looking serious, so serious. Hope that they will not find me. I don't want to be barbecued. She thought.

"No one is here, as usual." The shorter one says to the taller one and picks up a mouse from the table while putting down his AK47.

"But it is our duty to look after this room. We have to make sure that no one enters in this room. It's private and no one is allowed to enter here. Be serious towards your duty!!" The taller one says in his serious tone as if scolding the shorter one.

"Blah....blah...I know this stuff. You don't need to narrate me this story eveytime we enter this room. This is ninth in a day, till now. And for your kind information I am not a patient of short term memory loss. So please!!"
And then whispers in a tone to show as if he's trying not to make him hear that but actually he wants him to hear "I am afraid there will be more nanny!!"

"I heard that!!"

The shorter one was in a playful mood. So he didn't cared about the taller one. He placed the mouse in its normal position, takes his AK47 and leaves the room. The taller one gives a look of sigh and then he also leaves the room , slamming the door behind him.

Lia then comes down to rest her head and then a tsunami of questions hits the beach of her mind. What the hell is special about this room? Why such a strict security? And most important, how she is going to escape from this room, unnoticed? ?

She slowly gets up and takes a long breath. She tiptoed to the door , trying to avoid hitting any object . She was not in the mood to attract those hulks. When she finally reaches near the door, she puts her right hand on it and takes a breath of relief, then she brings her head near it and pressed her right ear against it. She was trying to listen some sounds, sounds of footsteps of the guards so as to avoid the encounter with them.

She could listen some footsteps, becoming faint as if they were walking away from the room. Thank god! She thought. Once sure that there were no sounds of pounding footsteps, she turned the knob as softly as she could but the door creaked. Her heart falls to the ground when she hears  the creak. What if they are standing outside? What if someone had heard it? She is going to be punished, kicked out of here or worse, handed to the police for sneaking into private property??

After waiting for two minutes, nothing happens, so she decides to get out of there. To her surprise or fortune,  no one was there. She sighed a breath of relief. Then she closes the door silently and begins to walk normally as nothing had happened.

She murmurs ro herself "Thankfully I never sweat because if I would have, I could be drenched all over. "

It was then she bumped into someone. Lia was looking to the ground and without bothering to see who's there, she starts apologising.

"I am sorry."

"You! I mean...Hello! What are you doing here?" Says a soft toned boy.

She rose her head after hearing the soft voice and then notices chocolate brown eyes. They are familiar. But she was not able to figure out this when there's so much in her head.

"I am sorry. You?"

"Ray. I met you last night. In seminar. You are Lia , right?"

"Oh. Yeah. I am sorry I was th....."

"Oh here you are! Thank god! Finally I found you!" Interrupted aa woman coming from nowhere and engulfing Lia in her tight hug. It's again a familiar voice.

"Shelly?"

"Yeah. Thank God that you recognised me. I am PA of Dr. Kilby.  I was late to reach the stairs and found no one there. So from last 15 minutes I am wandering here and there to find you. You know I have searched almost every nook and corner of the floor!"
After noticing the confused look of Lia she continues "Oh I need to explain. Look. Dr.kilby told me that he was impressed by a young girl in the seminar last night. And last night only two young person were there and you being the only girl. So I understood it would be you. Oh hello Ray !"

She was speaking as fast as a bullet train. It seems that there was no tomorrow, of course for her. It took a little time to process her words for both, Ray and Lia.

Shelly, the PA of Dr. Kilby and the cute woman she met last night in the seminar, is leading both of them to Dr.kilby's lab. They were told that it was on the topmost floor of the building. Cool!

When they were in the lift, shelly was standing in front of them facing there back. Looking serious now! On the other hand, Ray was leaning against the left side and was staring something. It's obvious! Lia. While Lia was standing straight, looking at the ground while thinking something.
Yeah, she is thinking but not something.

She is trying to process the events in her mind that were happening with her from yesterday.
The seminar, Dr. Kilby ' s speech, Meeting him, this weird appointment and the picture of her brother.  It was weird. Peculiar. And much more than that. He is treating her like they have had known each other for years. There is something strange that she needs to figure out!
