It's been a year now since the new Ninja has been chosen. It's strange that a school has a secret super hero, but who am I to complain. This school has a huge problem with monsters in the first place.
I then walk into my room to find a note with a book underneath it. "What the?" The note read, 'Every four years there is a student designated to be the ninja, but most don't know about the ninja's trainer. You have been chosen as the most qualified person to train the Ninja. Find him and train him all he needs to know about being the protector.'
I was confused and looked at the book. It was kind of old, but was basically a manual on the training for the Ninja. What he should learn first and so on. 'I have to babysit someone in my grade level? I hardly know who the Ninja is, that's the point really, but how am I suppose to train someone I don't even know?' The reason you were chosen is that you were known as the toughest girl in the school. Not only are you champion in the martial arts division of your class, but teach self defense to the girls of nearby middle schools from pervs and work in heavy lifting for the grocery store your dad owns. So being strong was kind of your destiny. Being fast is a whole other story though. You may be fast in the store, but to be as fast as a ninja is impossible.
I looked around school with the journal inside my backpack. Luckily it isn't some kind of magical book is it? Too late. Suddenly your backpack starts dragging you backwards at the speed of light. Not knowing where you were going you just put your hoodie up so no one would know it was you flying across the hallway. It was nice enough and not make strong turns that would make you have whiplash or hit any of the lockers. Nope went right in the middle of the hallway and avoiding people.
It was a few minuets until I bump into someone else. As I fall onto the ground I turn to look behind me and tilts my head in confusion. I see a boy rubbing his head of purple hair in confusion. "I'm sorry about that, I don't know what happened." I giggled and nodded. "It's OK really." He looked up at me and flinched a bit once he realized it was me. I look down to realize my book fell. I grab it and sees a black and red book. It just got stuck to my White and green book that is the manual for training. The other boy grabbed it and sparks suddenly came up.
I don't mean it as a metaphor, I mean a literal spark happened between us.
We both got electrocuted for three seconds.
So we woke up in the infirmary and the nurse left for lunch apparently! GREAT! I looked over to the boy and gave a stern look to him. "You must be the Ninja huh?" He flinched and covered my mouth freaking out. "Who told you?! Was it Howard? I knew he couldn't take the secret. He was going to tell someone eventually...." I move his mouth down and sighed. "No. I'm your trainer. I was chosen by the last one to train the Ninja and I assume the emo version of my book is the one that belongs to the Ninja and if you have it then that makes you the Ninja." He got annoyed when I mentioned emo, but shook it off. "Trainer? I thought the Ninjanomicon was my only trainer?"
Suddenly the, Ninjanomicon I assume, floated up from his bag along with my book as well. "I only hold your morals. Making sure you make every right decision on your journey as the Ninja. All the physical training is to my other half. I can't be your couch and mentor at the same time, thus a trainer was called for. Please listen to her as she is the most qualified to make you stronger and withstand battles longer." The books land into our hands no longer together and I look up at him. "So, if I'm going to train you I might as well know your name. I'm (Y/N) (L/N). What's yours?"
"Randy Cunningham. So what makes you qualified to be my trainer? You're a girl so I don't know how self defense from old guys are gonna protect me from monsters, no offence. I'm not calling you weak or anything its just I don't see how the two correlate with each other."
I nodded and sighed. "I guess we'll find out as we go huh?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time has gone by from that incident and we've been training nonstop for any attacks. A few has happened every now and then and now we're almost to the end of our senior year. I regret making him do such intense workouts. He's really buff now that all the girls are attracted to him. It makes things harder for him to run away to turn into the Ninja when trouble arises.
The senior prom was coming up and of course a lot of girls were either trying to find ways to get to Randy or the Ninja. Since I don't need to be secretive, Howard told everyone I was training the Ninja. So I've turned into the one way mail carrier for any fans to message the Ninja, when it's just Randy standing next to me. And since girls are scared of rejection from Randy, the girls ask me to sneak love letters to him because all of them think I have no relationship with Randy further than friends. However, I've fallen for Randy since last year. That Ninjanomicon not only teaches him moral, it basically turned him into the prince charming all the girls have been dreaming of since childhood.
Kind, caring, noble, and with the help of my workout plans, really handsome! 'You've basically dug your own grave!' "Hey, (Y/N). You alright there?" I turned to Randy as he stopped in the middle of the obstacle course I made for him in the middle of the woods. He was wiping himself off with a towel and I couldn't help but blush. "I-It's nothing. What about you man? You've been distracted lately that you don't finish this course as fast as you used to. Do you wanna talk about it?" He sighed and climbed up the rock I was sitting on and sat beside me. "I suppose I have been bothered by this thing on my mind."
"Well spit it. I give better advice than Howard anyway. Or is it about him?"
"No it's not about him. He and I are getting along just fine. It's just, there's this girl...." 'Oh boy...' "...and I don't know what to do. I mean she's really great and well I'm too nervous to ask her out." I think for a bit and sighs. 'Its probably that Heidi from class. A lot of people have been saying they look good together. He's probably thinking about it too.' "(Y/N)? Are you listening?"
"H-Huh? Oh sorry. Can you repeat that last part?"
"Should I ask her out?"
I smile softly. I might like Randy, but if he liked Heidi even more than I'm OK with giving him to someone he cares for. "Yeah, ask her to prom and I'm sure she'll say yes. However, you gotta do it all grand or something. Really depends on them. If you know she likes that showy carp then you should do it to impress her. However, if she's OK with the intimate proposal of just one on one scenario than go for that instead" He nods listening carefully and chuckles. "Alright then."
He then scooted over closer and held my hand. He gently leaned in to look right in my eyes and whispered, "Will you be my date to prom?" I blushed and looked at him confused. "W-Wait? I thought you liked Heidi?!" He chuckles and gently rubs my hand with his thumb. "She's alright, but she doesn't make me like this." He then places my hand on his chest to feel his rapid heart beat. "Y-You're just playing with me. You just worked out, or course your heart is going to be beating fast!" I say flustered.
He laughs a bit and smiles. "Please. I don't get tired that easily. Besides, I only have feelings for you. So what do you say? Will you? And then after, maybe be my girlfriend?" I couldn't believe what was happening. I didn't know what to say and I just sat there speechless. "If you don't say anything I'll have to find out your answer through a kiss you know?" 'A KISS?! WHY A KISS?! THIS IS WAY TOO MUCH! WHAT DO I DO IF I DON'T RESPOND FAST ENOU-'
Welp I ran out of time.
Here we are. On top of a rock. At sundown. Holding hands. Kissing.
Let's just say, I got lots of glares from the girls who asked for favors about Randy at prom.
