Raman's POV

"Sir! Aapne jin logon ko bulaya tha wo agaye hain" said my secretary over the intercom.

"Great! Send them in. And make sure ke agle ek ghante tak humein koi disturb na kare. Aur haan refreshments bhej dena" I instructed.

"Yes sir" she replied.

Well! I am quite excited and impatiently waiting for their arrival.

I hear a knock and I know they are here.

I go ahead and open the door for them personally, after all they are my special guests.

"Please come in" I say flashing a huge smile.

"Please make yourself comfortable" I lead them to the special seating arrangement made for them.

I can see that they are feeling quite uneasy.
Obviously they will feel so. After all its their first time here.
They have been with me throughout my journey but had always been watching me from a distance.

But today I invited them personally to be here so that they can see me closely.
And most importantly I wanted to this to happen.
They have always been close to my heart, now I wanted them to be closer physically.

Sensing their discomfort and the nervous smiles they flashed at me, I decided to break the awkward silence.

"Thank you very much for coming here. I know ke aap log all the way yahan tak sirf mere aur Ishita keliye aye hain. It feels really good. Maine kabhi expect nahi kiya tha ke kuch anjaan logon se mujhe itna zyada pyar milega aur aap log meri zindagi ka hissa ban jayenge"

"Aap log bore to nahi ho rahe na mere speech se?" I ask sheepishly.

And they nod their head immediately assuring me that they are fine with it.

"Thank you...You have always been kind...Aap logon ka sath nahi hota to ye Char Kadam adhoore hi reh jate...
Beshak ye Char Kadam meri aur Ishita ki kahani hai. Lekin agar aap log sath na chalte to ye safar itna aage na badhta. Thank you for your love and support.

Aur isiliye maine aap logon ko aaj yahan bulaya hai. Kyunki mai chahta tha ke yahan se aage ka safar bhi hum sath chalein. Aur aap log khaas karke mere aur Ishita keliye yahan tak aaye, mai bata nahi sakta ki mujhe isse kitni khushi haasil hui hai" I expressed in all honesty.

I could see their faces glowing with happiness for the acknowledgement.

I added "Aap log sirf is kahaani ke readers nahi balki meri zindagi ka ehem hissa ho. We are a family: the Char Kadam Family"

They smiled again in response.

"Arrey aap log aaj itna chup kyun ho? Maine to suna hai ke aap log bahut bolte ho aue sawalon pe sawal karte rehte ho. See you should know ke mai jo bhi keh raha hoon sachhe man se keh raha hoon and you don't have to feel shy at all. Jo kehna hai kahiye, jo poochna hai poochiye" I said to make them comfortable.

"I have a question sir" one of them finally spoke.

"Sir mat bulao please. Maine kaha na ke hum ek family hain. To haq se mujhe Raman kehke bulawo" I told her.

"Ok....Raman! Kya Ishitaji....I mean...Kya Ishita bhi aanewali hain hum se milne keliye?" She asked.

"Ummm...I am sorry to disappoint you. Aaj Ishita nahi ayegi. Actually wo novel ka agla chapter badh rahi hai to usne do not disturb board laga diya hai. And you know no one can mess woth her now. Warna wo zarur aati" I informed.
