Prologue

A new house means a new school, new relationships, new environments, and a new reputation.

I don't think I'm quite ready for that yet.

But supposedly mum doesn't agree.

I was moving to LA from San Fran, my childhood home. I was born in England, but San Fran was where I lived 8 years of my precious life, and I couldn't give it up so quickly.

But again, mum had other plans.

We moved here yesterday, to a penthouse in a nice apartment complex in the centre of LA, with nice open windows, three bedrooms, and a royal red piano in the main room. But neither I nor mum plays, so I don't see the point in it.

When I wake up tomorrow morning, I'm going to school. A private school. I've never been to a private school, but apparently they don't have uniforms, so that's good. I visited a couple of months ago during the summer holiday, and it seemed nice. At least I get to show my fashion forward side at school tomorrow morning to try to make a good impression.

Me being a sophomore doesn't help at all, since moving during high school, I've learned, is the worst mistake you could ever make in your entire life. I must agree with that statement.
Well, I won't know until after tomorrow, but I already have a feeling it is, for the knot in my stomach is forbidding me to eat anything.

Hopefully it's not the worst day in my entire life, but if it is, then so be it. I can't change the soon-to-be past, anyway. It is what it is.

But I'll try my hardest to keep it a good day.
