04. The Yule Ball

y/n's POV:

I woke up with a smile on my face.

I got up right away not like the other days.

I usually take 15 minutes in getting out of bed.

"l/n? What now? Damn. You're the stupidest and most annoying person in the world. Don't act like you're special in Draco's eyes." Pansy said and glared at me.

For the first time, I didn't mind.

Most days I would tell her something worse.

"Oh Pansy," I sad sarcastically, making sure everyone in the girls' dormitory heard. "It's not everyday you wake up with Draco Malfoy as your boyfriend!"

"You? His girlfriend? In your dreams!" Pansy scoffed.

I rolled my eyes and skipped going down to the common room while Pansy and her friends were walking behind me.

I looked around the common room and saw Draco.

He stood up and approached me.

"It's okay if they know we're dating right?" I asked him.

"Yeah...."

I kissed him on the lips and said

"Merry Christmas Draco!"

Draco rolled his eyes as replied, loud enough for the people to hear,

"Merry Christmas, Love! Let's open our gifts."

He grabbed my hand and brought me to our gifts under the wonderful Christmas tree in our common room.

Draco and I had a fair enough amount of gifts.

"Save the best for last." he said and winked.

"You too, Draco." I said and smirked.

"Let's open our moms' gifts first. And then our dad's. And then our friends and lastly.. Our gifts for each other."  I said with a smile.

He nodded.

We got our gifts from our mums and opened it.

We both received dog tags.

There was a letter for each of us too.

"y/n what's the name on your dog tag necklace?"

I looked at it.

"Uhhhhhh... It's.. Wait... Ummm.. Yeah.. Draco. Draco's the name on my dog tag necklace." I said and I was so confused.

"Draco? What's on yours?" I asked him.

"y/n" he said and looked at me.

I read my letter.

Dear y/n,

You and Draco are probably together already when you're reading this.

I've been talking to Narcissa about both of you and she agrees that you look perfect together!

I blushed and looked at Draco.

"We have crazy mothers." Draco said.

I agreed and we started laughing.

I opened Narcissa's gift which was an envelope.

There was a photo and a letter inside.

The photo was Draco when he was younger. Maybe when he was three years old.

I read the short letter.
