Another year had now past at Wammys House. By this period of time it was 1998, and I was 20 years old.

"It's alright if you don't get it BB, honestly it is difficult.." I tried to reassure Beyond Birthday.

He was doing his homework in his room and I rushed over when I heard a huge bang.

"Maybe for you but it shouldn't be for me" he angrily spat out through gritted teeth.

I stood up and gently rubbed his shoulder until I felt him relax.

He breathed out and dropped his head on the table, it was becoming increasingly more difficult to calm him down lately..

"...it's ok..I'm fine now, thank you Dream.." I heard him muffle out.

I gave him a hidden worried look before walking out the room.

I turned to see his head still dropped on the table.

I closed the door slowly as it made a horrid squeaky sound, something that worsened the tension in the air.

I walked down the empty and dark hall with a sense of fear running through the walls.

...something seemed very off.

My feet pushed my weight against the floor boards, giving off a concerned thump with every step. When I reached the stair case and walked down it, that too gave off the aroma of a miserable feeling, one of which I could not figure out.

I could see Matt's game illuminate only a small section the dark filled living room, leaving the contents of the rest of the room blind to the human eye, considering it was 11pm.

I could only see the top of Matt's red head because of his small height compared to that of the large sofa, of which I only had the back view of due to the stair case being behind the sofa, and also quite far away from it.

Of course Matt's height was understandable considering he was only 7 years old at the time.

I walked closer to him and heard the more distinct sounds and effects of his new game. When I reached the front of the sofa, I then noticed that his head was slightly tilted, because he had fallen asleep.

I lightly laughed to myself as I switched off his game and lifted him into my arms, and carried him into his bedroom which was also down stairs , leaving the living room in a pitiful darkness, with no child in sight.

Once I placed Matt in his bed and changed him into his PJ's, I noticed that Mello was not in his bed.

I frowned to myself as I wondered where on earth he would be at this time in the night.

I walked further down into the house, past the class rooms, past me and Annabelle's Dance studio, past the music room, but there was no sign of a child in sight.

"Oh ye?? Well IM GONNA STUDY TEN TIMES HARDER THAN YOU NEAR, AND IM GONNA BECOME THE BEST AGAIN!!"

Mello's child like temper lingered in my mind as I realised where he would be.

I opened the double door leading to the library, where at the very end, I could see a single light switched on behind a couple of book shelves.
