Apology

You made me laugh and I made you cry,
Didn't realise the pain I gave.
I'll regret this till the day i die,
Or probably, even from the grave.

It took me a while to comprehend my fault,
Or perhaps it's a crime, or a sin too.
I wish I can take back my assault.
I wish I could revive the broken you.

Little did I know about the mistake I made,
I may be a fool or maybe a demon.
Please just slay me with a blade,
Or simply shoot me with a gun.

I made many errors, not just one.
I blindly ignored the fact that was there.
Regret hit me only after I was done,
That I was the idiot who was unfair.

Now I have this emptiness in my heart,
That I can't just discard away.
It's actually tearing me apart.
Be it night or the day.

So, I humbly bow my head,
With regret and silent cries.
I know I can't take back the things I said,
But I pray that you'll apologise.

But I guess this sorry just won't do,
I'll say it a thousand times if that's what it took.
But my feelings are definitely true,
And not just mere words on a book.

So I beg your forgiveness once again,
Because I consider you a good friend.
To even hope, I maybe insane,
But I don't want this to be our end.
