ALLISON SAT IN the chair in front of her laptop, feeling quite idiotic as she googled 'Quileute Legends.' She twisted the chair back and forth as she clicked on the fourth result, which was the book results for Quileute Legends. The link led her to the site for Thunderbird & Whale Book Store, which was located in Port Angeles. Allison scribbled down the address for the store and put in her pocket before closing her laptop and leaving for school.

The sun was shining today, a welcome change. Allison sat on top of one of the benches outside with Jessica at her side, while Bella sat in front of them. "They're not here," Jessica informed Allison and Bella as she noticed the brunettes looking for Jasper and Edward. "Whenever the weather's nice the Cullen's disappear," She continued after Allison gave her a look.

"What, do they just ditch?" Bella asked curiously.

Can't be in the sun, Allison thought to herself as she remembered her previous conversation with Bella. The girl raised a hand to pick at her chipped, black nail polish as a crease formed between her dark eyebrows.

"No, uh, Dr. and Mrs. Cullen yank 'em out for, like, hiking and camping and stuff. I tried that out on my parents, not even close," Jessica continued, sighing quietly as she tilted her head backward further. Her dirty blonde waves followed the movement and tumbled down her back in symphony.

"Guys," Angela exclaimed as she walked over to the trio, "I'm going to the prom with Eric. I just asked him, I took control."

Allison grinned at the excited girl, "That's great! I'd hug you, but I don't feel like getting up."

"I told you that would happen," Bella smiled at Angela. She hugged her awkwardly, causing Allison to struggle to keep her lips in a straight line as she tried not to release a laugh at her friend's awkwardness.

"Are you sure you have to go out of town?" Angela asked Bella sadly, before speaking to Allison, "Allie, are you sure you don't want to come?"

"Oh yeah, it's a family thing," Bella answered, lifting a pale hand to wave in the air for emphasis.

"And I really don't feel like standing around for hours in shoes that make my feet hurt."

"Okay, we should go shopping in Port Angeles before all the good dresses get cleaned out," Jessica directed her comment to Angela.

"Do you mind if I tag along?" Allison asked as the bell rang. The brunette groaned quietly at the shrill sound, reluctant to leave the sunlight.

"No, yeah that'll be great! I could use your opinion," Jessica told her as they hopped off the bench. Allison crouched down to pick up her bag, placing her books inside it before rising to her feet.

"Port Angeles? You mind if I come?" Bella asked as well.

"Yeah, I need your opinion," Angela told Bella the same thing Jessica told Allison as the girls made their way across the courtyard.

"I like this one," Jessica stated as she held up a light pink spaghetti strap dress, "What do you think, Allie?"

"Hmm," Allison contemplated from her spot in front of Bella in the window seat. The brunettes shared a look, the latter rolling her eyes as Jessica asked Allison yet another inquiry. "I think it'll go nicely with your skin tone."

"I like this one," Angela stated hopefully as she held up a pretty purple dress that was adorned with beads.

"Yeah, I like the beads," Jessica told her, "I mean you wouldn't need jewelry."
