Chapter 8

Aimee's P.O.V.

I leaned against the hall wall and waited for Jayden to come. I saw him in the distance and i smiled.

"Hey" he smiled and kissed me.

"Hey" i smiled.

"You love doing that, dont you?" i laughed.

"It will never get old" he smiled and kissed me again.

"Ready to go?" he smiled as he intertwined our fingers.

"Yep" i smiled.

We walked down to the car and got in. Jayden pulled out of the parking space and drove off down the road.

We pulled into my street and stopped in front of my house.

"Thanks for taking me home" i smiled and kissed Jaydens cheek.

"I take you home everyday" Jayden laughed.

"But still, thankyou" i smiled.

"You're very welcome" he smiled.

"Oh, and Will said he will take you dress shopping tomorrow, he said he will be here at 10am sharp to pick you up" he added.

"Aw, thankyou. Make sure you tell Will hes amazing" i smiled.

We leant in and we kissed.

"Bye" i smiled as i got out of the car.

"See you soon" Jayden smiled.

I waved goodbye and walked to the front door. I unlocked it and stepped inside.

"Mum! Im home" i called out.

I didnt know if she was home or not, but i called out anyway.

I saw mum walk downstairs in her work clothes.

"You're walking late again?" i asked.

"Im sorry sweetie we havent been spending much time together, but ive been really busy with work" she replied putting her phone in her bag.

I sighed and she started rushing around the house grabbing paper and what not.

"I have a boyfriend" i said out of nowhere.

Mum stopped in her tracks and looked at me.

"You what?" she asked.

"I have a boyfriend. Jayden asked me out today at recess and he picks me up and drives me home everyday. But you wouldnt know that because you're never home" i said.

"Im so sorry, i had no idea" she said shaking her head.

"Well maybe you need to think about not working so much so you can be there for me, because dad cant" i said with tears welling up in my eyes.

"Theres no need to bring up your father" she snaped.

I frowned at her and she sighed.

"Im doing everything i can to raise you properly, and that means having to work so we have money. Im trying my best here" she replied.

"I know" i whispered.

"We will talk about this tomorrow when i have a day off" she said picking up her handbag.

"If you were home more you would know that im going deb dress shopping with Will tomorrow" i said hugging myself.

Mum sighed and opened the front door. She turned around and faced me.

"Goodnight Aimee" she said as she walked out the door.

I stood there crying. We never fight like this. I think work is effecting her.

I didnt know what to do, so i did the only thing i could think off.

I heard a knock at the door. I opened it to see Jayden standing there. I dived in for a hug.

"Thankyou for coming" i said into his chest.

"Thats alright. Are you okay?" he asked.

I looked up at him and shook my head.

"Its alright, im here now" he said placing a kiss on my forehead.

I let a few tears fall down my cheeks. Jayden wiped them away and kissed me. I took his hand and walked upstairs to my room.

I opened my door and walked in, collapsing on my bed.

Jayden slowly sat down next to me, stroking my hair out of my face.

"What happened?" Jayden asked.

I told him everything that happened. Right down to what was said.

"Aw its okay, im sure shes just stressed" Jayden smiled.

"Yeah, maybe" i sighed.

"I just feel like im losing her" i added.

"And i cant afford to loose both my parents" i said looking at Jayden.

"Why? Wheres your dad?" he asked.

"He, uh... He passed away when i was 12" i said.

"Oh, im so sorry to hear that" he said sadly.

"Its fine, it was ages ago" i said sitting up and placing my legs on Jaydens lap. He pulled my closer so i was in his arms.

"I promise i'll never leave you" he smiled.

"Really?" i asked.

"Pinky promise" he laughed holding up his pinky.

I laughed and we locked pinkys.

"Stay with me tonight?" i said.

"Are you sure?" he asked.

"Positive, i wouldnt want anyone else here with me" i smiled.

We leant in and kissed. We pulled away with smiles on our faces.

"Oh and im sorry i ruined guys night" i said.

"Thats okay, the boys didnt mind" he smiled.

"Good" i smiled. "Movie?" i asked.

"Sure" he smiled.

I got off my bed and put a movie into the DVD player. I put The Vow on.

I layed down on my bed next to Jayden. He pulled me close and i layed my head on his chest, listening to his heart beat.

Jayden stroked my hair and i traced circles on his chest. We layed like that for awhile until i started feeling sleepy.

Jayden noticed i stopped tracing circles and looked at me. He laughed and lent down and kissed my forehead.

"Goodnight Aimee" Jayden smiled.

After that i drifted to sleep.
