He's getting married to someone else, and you're in love with him.
Harry: You laugh as Harry makes up some moves in the middle of the dance floor, for his bachelor party the boys had taken him to club, and you had been invited as well. "Y/N! Come join me!" You roll your eyes and join him as he spins you around, and then stops, staring at you intently. "Y/N... can I ask-ask you, a... question?" You giggle, he is so wasted. "In the cab, while we get you home." You motion to Liam that you're taking Harry home, and he nods, while Louis says something in Liam's ear. In the cab, Harry pulls you close to him, and you feel so wrong, but right at the same time. You've been in love with your best friend since you were fourteen, and now here you were. Twenty and never told Harry, and he was getting married in four days. You didn't understand how he could be so blind. That Caroline girl was all wrong for him. All she cared about was her fancy soirees and wine tastings. Harry didn't care about any of that, neither did you. Your attention is redrawn once Harry starts purring at you. "Haz..." You giggle. "You're getting married in a few days." He nods seriously. "I know. Me. Out of all the lads, I'm the first to go." He starts rambling on and on. "Why did I even ask Caroline to marry me? All I ever wanted is sitting next to me in this cab." Your heart lurches. "What?" You ask, he nods. "Harry, you're drunk. Let's get you home." He was just drunk, and he was nervous, he didn't mean those things... and you certainly wanted to believe them, but you didn't want him to have to tell you when he was drunk. You help him out of the cab and he leans heavily on you while you wait for him to unlock the door to his flat. "Look, Y/N, I'm in love with you... I don't even know why I'm marrying Caroline, I just... I'm a git for not telling you, but I love you so much--" You can't help but cry. "Harry. You and I have known each other for six years now, and now you tell me? You're getting married in four days." You sniff. "I've waited a long to hear those words from your mouth, and maybe I'm an arse for saying this, but I think I deserve someone who won't wait until they're four days away from getting married and completely wasted to return the feelings that I have for them." With that, you turn around, completely losing any sheer ounce of the ability to do the right thing you had as you throw yourself in the back of the cab, sobbing as he drives you home. Never in your life, had you been more happy to see your bed and a box of tissues. The next morning you roll over, your eyes feeling heavy from crying so much last night. You had finally done it, told Harry... but he was drunk. He wouldn't remember anything. It was raining pretty heavily as you decided to just stay in the house all day, and you made yourself comfortable with tissues, popcorn, and some Gossip Girl, when there was a knock on the door. You opened it, to find Harry, the rain making his curls go flat. "Y/N, please, let me in." You sigh, and let him in as he pushes past you, turning to face you as you shut the door. "I'm in love with you. You said last night--" You sigh. "I'm sorry for that, I was a little... forward--" He smirks. "You were right. You deserve someone who isn't afraid to tell you they love you like I was, someone who isn't making a mistake by marrying someone he doesn't even know a millionth of the things he knows about you." Your eyebrows knit together, you're confused. "What do you mean?" He smiles and pulls you in close. "I told Caroline I couldn't marry her. I told her I was sorry, but I loved someone else, and we both deserved a chance at true love. I know I'm an ass, but I love you to bits, Y/N. So, will you please, give me a chance." You bit your lip as you smiled, nodding slowly, your eyes widening as he leaned down, his lips touching yours.
