"There is no way I'm going to Denmark by train," I said as we all packed our stuff. "We're taking the car."

"I'm driving," Annabeth said.

"Hahaha, no," Percy said. "I'm driving."

"Gods, I'm driving, okay?" I said. "You guys drive too slow."

"Crista," Jason said, putting his hand on my shoulder. "If we let you drive, it's like we have a death wish."

"Well at least we get there faster," I said, rolling my eyes.

We all finished packing up and headed out to the car.

"Crista??"

"WHAT THE!?" I yelled as I heard someone whisper my name as if it were right beside me.

"Crista?" Nico asked, looking at me with a worried expression.

"HELP ME!"

It wasn't whispering anymore... It was yelling right in my ear.

"WHO ARE YOU?!" I yelled out to the air.

"Crista, what's wrong!" Percy yelled, running to me and grabbing me by my shoulders.

Shrieks suddenly filled my ears.

"MAKE IT STOP!!" I yelled as I fell to my knees, covering my ears with my hands but it didn't stop.

"CRISTA!!!!! HELP!!!"

More shrieks...

"SAVE ME!!!!"

Make it stop...

"Crista?!??" everyone yelled.

The shrieks suddenly stopped....

"Deep breaths, Crista, deep breaths," Nico said as he kneeled in front of my and took me in his arms. I did as he said and my heart began to calm down.

"What happened?" Percy asked.

"I heard voices and shrieks..." I muttered. "They were so terrifying.."

"It's fine," Leo said. "We're right here, okay?"

I nodded. Nico helped me up and we started filling in the car.

"Are you sure you're okay to drive?" Annabeth asked and I nodded.

"Just... just buckle up," I said. Nico was riding shotgun and had his hand on my leg. Just knowing he was there...

"You guys ready?" I asked.

"Oh gods," Piper said, taking in a deep breath.

I started the car and we drove away from the summer house.

"JESUS CHRIST, SLOW DOWN CHRISTA!" Leo yelled. "DENMARK ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE!"

Marissa might... to Elysium...

I'm not going to let that happen.

Marissa's POV

"You're never getting away with this," I told the wicked witch as she walked around her evil lair.

"I just might, deary. I just might," she said, taunting me with her big ass hair and her ugly ass face.

Dang, I hate that all I can do is mock her in my mind.

"Your friends are coming here," said le wicked witch. "And once they do, they're dead. Just. Like. You."

"If looks could kill, there'd be a hole between your eyes by now," I said, showing a fake smile.

"Your words have no power," she answered. "Not even your charm can move me. I'm immune to it."

"Are you even a half blood?" I asked.

"Heavens, no. But I did discover the mythical wonders of your kind. I could see beyond the Mist. I also dabbled in some witchcraft which is how I got you."

Okay, this weird lady is totes craycray.

"What do you want from Crista?" I asked.

"I want her to undergo what you will experience in a couple of minutes," she answered.

This. Does not. Sound. Good.

Crista's POV

"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!"

"WHAT THE-" I yelled, stopping the car before I lost control. A painful shriek filled my ears and it wouldn't stop.

"Crista!" Nico yelled as I covered my ears. "Crista, what's wrong?!"

"IT'S MARISSA! I CAN HEAR HER!! SHE'S IN PAIN!!" I yelled.

"Maybe I should drive," Percy said.

Nico got off the car and opened my door. He carried me from the driver's seat and placed me on the seat at the end of the minivan. He sat down beside me as Percy drove.

"Crista, what's going on?" Nico asked. "You've been freaking out since this morning."

"I can hear her," I muttered as the shrieking began to fade. "It's that weird woman's doing.. She's hurting Marissa. I heard her yell out my name this morning and I heard her her shrieking in pain just now."

Tears started forming in my eyes.

"Oh Crista," Nico said, taking me into his arms as the tears started streaming down to my cheeks.

"She's in so much pain and it's all my fault.."

"It's not," he said. "It's that woman's fault."

"I can't lose her... Marissa's the closest I had to a real sister ever since things went downhill. She was always there for me, cheering me on even though I kept ignoring her ass. She made me do the weirdest stuff back when we were working at the workshop..."

"We'll get her back," Percy said from the driver's seat. "I know you, Crista. I know that you'll do anything for your friends and I know you'll do something ridiculously crazy so know that we're on Crista duty."

I laughed in the middle of my sobs.

"Way to take the fun out of it."
