Eleven- Back to Gym and HIM?!?

HELLO!!! AHH I AM BACK FINALLY! I've just had the craziest past few months! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! And I came on tonight and saw 2k reads. THAT IS CRAZY! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'LL TRY TO STAY MORE AND MORE ACTIVE! Now, enjoy!!

"Mackenzie!! Get down here this minute or we will be late!" My mom screams from downstairs. I drop my phone, scared of her sudden use of noise. I pick it up, texting that I have to leave to Caiden.

We are going to Annie and Hayley's gym, to test it out. I grab my water bottle and wallet and head out of my room. I run downstairs, finding Hayley there.

"Hi, Mack!" Hayley runs up and hugs me, mentioning her new nickname for me. She's in her leo and some Nike Pros. And of course her Uggs.

"Hi, Hales!" I reply, saying her new nickname. I hug her back.

"You're taking me to gym today! Yay!" Hayley smiles that contagious smile of hers. I smile back and we small talk on the way to the car. We hop in, and I choose to sit next to Hayley in the back. "I can't wait for you to see the gym. I think you'll like it!"

"Thanks, Hales," I reply with a smile. She's like the younger sister I never had. She was so accepting, like I could tell her anything.

"Oh, wait! I forgot my phone. Be right back," Mom says as she gets out of the car and scurries into the house. I turn to look at Hayley and burst the thought that has been killing me out.

"Does Caleb ever talk about me?" I blurt.

Hayley looks straight into my eyes before turning away. "Um..." she mumbles. I resort to tickling her to get it out of her. "YES! He does. But not like your his wife! Like he does with his friend. Brennan."

"Brennan?" I ask. I've never heard his name.

"Katie's brother. He's a few months younger than Caleb. Just... Like you," Hayley stutters out.

My mom heads back into the car as I wink at Hayley and smile. I mouth a "thanks" and we head to my new gym.

"Welcome to Win Win Gymnastics! Take a look around, and we can talk and I can answer questions at the end. This would most likely be the class you're in. It ranges from 10 to 14 year olds training for level eight and forward to the Olympics!" The coach says.

"Thank you," my mom replies. We start walking around the huge gym, and I am in awe. It was gorgeous gym. Everyone seemed to be having the time of their life. "I need to run to the bathroom, look around, I'll meet up with you," my mom tells me. I nod and she runs off. I walk towards the bars, not looking where I was going. They are gorgeous. Almost perfect! I bump into someone and fall.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there!" The boy says. I look up to find an amazing guy who looks my age. He is tall, and totally a swimmer's body. I shake the thought away. His voice is familiar.

"It's totally fine! I wasn't watching where I was going, sorry," I reply. "I'm new to the state, looking for a gym."

"Oh cool! Well, welcome to Maryland! My little sister goes to this gym and loves it! My best friend's little sister goes here too, and she loves it," he smiles. His smile is amazing.

"I'm Mackenzie," I smile.

"I'm Brennan."

I stand there in shock! BRENNAN? I think back to everything he said. Little sister, Katie... Best friend, Caleb! His little sister, Annie!

"Are you okay?" He asks me.

"Y-yeah. Sorry. It's just, um, are you Katie's brother?" I dumbly ask.

He looks at me weird as he replies, "Yes. How'd you know?"

"I'm Mackenzie, again. I'm the Bratayley's new neighbor. Hayley was telling me about you. I met Katie a few days ago," I say.

He stands there, shaken. "Brennan! Come over here!" A small voice says from the viewing room. It must be his younger brother.

"Nice to meet you," I say. "Hope to see you again sometime."

"Um, yeah. Welcome to Maryland," he blushes.

I step away and go meet my mom. Still in awe.
