Would she be Elizabeth, Victoria, Alice,
Alexandrina, Diana, Charlotte or Florence?
Or perhaps Eugenie, Beatrice or even Fergie?
(The latter group of names not being very likely.)
Who might have known? But whatever name was chosen,
You could be sure, and I'm already supposing
That she will be doted on, adored and pretty,
A celebrity who'll enjoy life that's glitzy.
She'll spend time with the Middletons; Kate will make sure.
James and Aunt Pippa will spoil her for evermore.
She'll be coddled and rocked by Pa Charles and Ma Camilla,
Entertained in palaces, mansions and the odd villa.
She'll be loved and cuddled by her parents, full of passion.
She'll be hunted and sought after by houses of fashion.
Can you picture the special linen in her nursery?
(And even royal babies naturally need to pee.)
She'll be licked and drooled on by the spaniel, Lupo,
Who won't care that she's a princess; how would he know?
She'll be tickled, burped and giggle with her Uncle Harry
Who was soon there to welcome her; not to tarry.
How she'll be accepted by Prince George, her brother,
Might need some good policing by her father and her mother.
She'll wear fancy ball gowns just like Cinderella.
She'll sip succulent wines from the choicest cellars.
She'll be hugged and kissed by Prince Phillip and the Queen.
She'll always be groomed, pampered and coiffed to be seen.
She'll be pursued or wooed by handsome men of good breed,
Ride in royal carriages, perhaps have her own steed.
She will travel around the world in the fanciest planes.
At Olympic openings she might, perhaps, light the flames.
At one point the folks in England were betting on her name;
Their excuses for gambling are notoriously lame.
