Hello, and welcome to the highly awaited sequel to Of Monsters and Men. 

To dispense the rather ugly copyright information at the top of each of my chapters, I've opted to write them all here, to improve the general aesthetic of this novel.

All rights go to The Originals television show on the CW, and Lisa Jane Smith, except the characters and events that are purely of my imagination. Severe consequences will be taken if anyone steals aspects of this novel. Of course, since this is based on an existing TV show, feel free to base your stories upon those plot lines. But any modifications that I make that are of my own invention ― just please don't copy it, because it's really frustrating to work so hard on something that you're proud of, and see someone else blatantly copy it. My faithful readers, if any of you spot anything amiss in other TO fan fictions that resemble mine, please take action.

Now that we've got the nastiness out of the way, let us discuss this sequel. The title of this book is Of Blood and Bone, and within it we not only delve into the lives of our beloved Mikaelson family, but also into Melissa's fears and tribulations that have accompanied her in the predecessor to this novel.

As I have stressed numerous instances before, my books will not explicitly fixate upon the romance between the characters. Whilst it is an important aspect to the story, I love Melissa more as an individual character. She's important, she's relevant, and I will not have her overshadowed by the wings of romance. She has her own story to tell too. Nik is just part of it.

Moving on, I suppose I must confess the delay to this sequel. My life has been so hectic with exams and tests and whatnot that I literally wasn't able to do anything on Wattpad for about four months. But over the holidays, I have written ahead, so updates should follow fairly regularly.

I want to thank all my readers for sticking by me for so long; words cannot begin to encompass the gratefulness that I feel for all your responses towards me, especially the lengthier reviews about my chapters. Hopefully, they shall continue here :)

And, as promised in This Is The End update on OMM, and the reasons to me starting a brand new separate book, I've decided that today (11th January 2016) would be the best starting point for a new era. It's my birthday so I think that it is the most appropriate time to commence new beginnings.

Without further ado, let us delve into Melissa's world once more!

This time, twitter is not used for voting, so the process shall be easier for many of you, as the lack of twitter accounts was OMMs issue last time. Bear in mind that nominations made after this time period will be ignored, so if you want to vote for OMM (*crosses fingers*) please make sure you cast your nominations on time.
