I Ran Away

Ready the Ships!

after two more hours of work we Finally finished and started putting everything in baskets. i stood up on a small hill "Everyone it's time! Ready the Ships! Let's go help my son!" everyone cheered and grabbed baskets and headed toward the docks. once everything was on the ships I asked Astrid and the Gang to ride in my ship with Gobber and I. we all boarded our separate ships, well those of us going of course some men and women had to stay behind to watch over the Children, we sailed off to the Island that we were being sent to Meadow Falls Island.

Hiccup's pov.
I was eating dinner with my mother when a knock came at the door, I cautiously opened it and found Heather on the other side and let out a breath of air. she laughed at me "I have good new Hiccup, your father and a fleet of Berkians are on there way, they will be here in a couple days." she informed me "Thank you Heather I'm very pleased. did you see anything change on your way in?" I asked her she shook her head. i nodded " Thanks again Heather get some rest we have some big days ahead of us." she nodded and gave a little bow and walked off.
"why does everyone bow to me?" I asked my mother "well one your Dragon is the Alpha of the Sanctuary nest and two you're his rider which makes you Chief." mother explained to me. I nodded understanding that point. "so you ready to see dad?" i asked mom nodded her head "but it would be best if i am introduced later on. I don't think your father could handle finding out his son is the Dragon Master and his wife is still alive after 21 years." she and i both laughed "you're right mom I'll tell the others." she nodded and i headed out of our little cave home on an dto the other side of the outer edge.
Maybe i should tell you how the layout of this sanctuary works there are only two tunnels to get in and they are both complicated one on each side of the outer edge. there are many other tunnels but those are used to trap our enemies and lose them within the tunnel labyrinth. The outer edge is what surrounds the Sanctuary, also where we built rock domes for our homes. Mine is the closest to a tunnel Because Toothless Is the Alpha of the Sanctuary and I'm the Chief, yeah I guess no matter where i go I'll always become a Chief, My mother also lives in the huge Rock Dome with me she's the Dragon Healer/ Dragon Thief, she saves Dragons from Dragon trappers and those that are injured she Heals.
My friends are on the sides of the outer edge except Eret he Guards the other tunnel, and in the Center of it all is the Sanctuary, a magnificent sight to see for sure, It's held up by solid rock everywhere, there are some secret holes for dragons to go through that my mother put doors on and the only way out is for them to breath fire into the hole of the door and it will open long enough for a whole dragon to get out. now that was not my invention that was my mothers. I still have no idea how she made that, she's a genius, I guess that's where i get that from.
I first went to Ingrid's dome, I knocked on her door and within seconds she opened it. "Hello Hiccup, Heather already told us that the Berkians are coming." i nodded my head "yes but nobody is allowed to tell them about my mother, just not yet, It'll be too much for my dad to handle. everyone will refer to her as Dragon Healer, or Dragon Thief, understood." I demanded Ingrid nodded her head "Loud and Clear Chief." she said i nodded.
Ingrid Is very interesting she kind of reminds me of Tuffnut except not that crazy. she was with my mother when i found out my mother was alive I meet them 4 in a half years ago. Ingrid is a fighter she goes through the tunnels every day just to make sure no enemies, animals, or Dragons got stuck in the Labyrinth. she is a very kind girl but she hides it.
i walked away heading to Erets to tell him, Eret was a Dragon Trapper for Drago but once he realized he liked having dragons as a loyal friend he asked for my forgiveness and asked to join us. Eret is a very buff guy with scars everywhere he has black hair, and sometimes talks like he owns the world.
after Erets I headed off to Thraya's. Now Thraya is a different story I found her starving nearly to death near the North shore of Meadow Falls. she was Frail and weak, now she's strong and i call her my little sister because we have that good of a relationship. she has Brown hair like me except she has red highlights her hair was always in a bun although few hairs fell loose from it, and she has pale blue eyes.
After i finished talking to Thraya i headed to Heathers. now Heather is an interesting story she somehow got into the outer edge while i was away to find Trader Johann, when i came back they had her in one of the Cells that's inside of the Sanctuary away from the Dragons. I went to talk to her and she apologized for breaking into the Sanctuary, i asked her why she did it and that's when she told me that Dagur was her Birth brother and that she was trying to get away from him. after that day we grabbed as many gronckles as we could and turned all the tunnels into a labyrinth and only two complex tunnels as an entrance and exit but of course i let her stay with us. ever since them she has been a faithful friend. she had black hair that goes into a side braid and Green eyes.
now that I finished telling everyone the rules for when my dad gets here with the Berkians i headed back to my Dome. I walked in and my mother was sitting in front of the fire pit cooking and it smelt so good. "mmm something smells good Mom." i said to her she laughed "your favorite stew. is what you're smelling son" she said and stirred the pot over the fire pit. i smiled and walked over to the table that we put our armor on then It hit me "Astrid's gonna be here" i said out loud i didn't mean to but i guess i did.
i heard my mom laugh as i set my armor on the table i looked over at her "you're just now realizing that?" she asked me with a weird face. i just shrugged "what if they're mad at me for leaving them?" i asked her she walked up to me and put her hand on my shoulder and looked at me "you mean what If you father, Gobber and Astrid are mad at you." she corrected me, I nodded she always knew my true thoughts. "Hiccup if they are you will make amends that's just how it works" she said, i nodded and looked down at the ground. "they'll be happy to see you i can Guarantee that." i looked up at her and smiled and gave her a hug, and she returned it "thanks mom"
