The next day I work up for school and did my usual routine. I went downstairs for breakfast and saw nothing on the table. Usually she gets up and cooks breakfast on Monday mornings. Where was my mom? I went down the hall and saw my mom still sleeping. She had a trash can next to her bed. The room had a bad smell to it. Almost like throw up. She must have the stomach flu. I ran in the kitchen and grabbed a water. Then grabbed a sticky note signing my name so she knows who got it for her. I walked to her room and put it on the dresser. Then ran back to the kitchen. I grabbed a granola bar, my backpack and keys then ran out the door. I jumped in the car and headed off to school. Once I was at school I ran to my locker and put my stuff in there. I saw Caleb with his friends and noticed how upset he looked. He was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. Tyler walked up to him and Caleb made a fist. Then they started yelling back and forth and Tyler punched Caleb in the jaw and he fell.

"Oh my gosh Caleb!", I yelled slamming my locker.

I ran towards Caleb and he was bleeding. Even worse his cast had broke which means his leg could get worse.

"Amy why are you helping him?", Tyler asked.

"Cause obviously I care. Unlike you", I replied.

"He hurt you. You were humiliated by him in front of the whole school", he said.

That's when I lost it.

"ACTUALLY YOU MADE THE STUPID BET WITH HIM. YOU BROUGHT IT UP. THANKS TO YOU YOUR FRIEND HAS A SWOLLEN JAW AND HIS LEG COULD BE WORSE. SO STOP BEING SUCH A JERK AND GO GET SOME FREAKING HELP BEFORE I HURT YOU SO BAD YOU'LL NEED LIFE SUPPORT AND A FULL BODY CAST!", I yelled.

Everyone looked at me in shock including Caleb. I had no idea I had it in me. Tyler out his hands up in surrender and went to go get a teacher.

"I didn't know you had it in you", Caleb said holding his jaw.

"Caleb shut up or else you'll make you injury worse. Hold still while I look at your leg", I said.

I lifted his leg and saw that he was bleeding a little. This can't be good.

"Someone call 911", I said.

"I got you", a familiar voice said.

I looked around to see who it was and saw Carter. His hair was covering his face as usual.

"Carter", I said.

"Hey Amy. So have you made your decision?", he asked.

"Yeah", I replied.

"So will you go out with me?", he asked.

"Yeah. I'll go out with you", I replied.

"Thanks for giving me a chance", he said.

"It a no problem. Now call the ambulance cause I think his leg got worse", I said.

"Alright", he said.

He dialed the number and walked away. Caleb looked at me shocked.

"So you're really moving on?", he asked.

"Caleb you can't expect me to just sit around and mope about you do you?", I asked.

"I just didn't expect you to be over me so soon", he replied.

"It's been almost two weeks. I'm not gonna talk about this now. The ambulance is outside. Let's go", I said.

Two other people helped me get him up and took him into the ambulance. I rode with him and called my mom. I explained everything to her and she was fine with it. We arrived at the hospital and we were led to a room. The nurse put Caleb in a bed and stuck a needle in his arm. Then the put some monitors on the leg that was broken.

"Amy can we please talk about this?", he asked.

"No. I meant to what I said at school and that's that", I replied.

"Amy you can't be serious can you?", he asked.

"Caleb I'm done. I'm tired of you trying to come back so you can hurt me. I'm going home", I replied.

I walked out the room and outside. Then I called my mom and she was on her way. I feel like he really still does love me but I can't trust him anymore.
