chapter 2- a whole new place

Jace's POV

I sat by Jessica and she didn't realize I sat by her until 10 seconds later. "Sup Jace." She said. I was confused. Sup?...ok. Than.. " hey, nothing really." She sniffed and breathed out slowly. "Um, did you forget your inhaler?" I asked. "Man, just trying to get over my addiction."
"What addiction?..." I froze to let her answer, looking confused."....Smoking." She replied. " you smell like smoke, did you smoke?" At this moment people were looking at us. "NO!!" I felt guilty from my lie." I dunno man, I was just smelling it some how, anyways, were here." She climbed over me like she did when she was little since she sat by the window and I sat at the edge. Today was going to be a long day. I walked around campus seeing new faces,old ones, and glaring ones. There were always the people that hated you, but I just turned the opposite of them ,flipped my dark brown hair and walked away with sass😉. I bumped into Jason and instead of getting mad that I dropped a notebook, I hugged him. " jacey!!" He yelled embracing me in a strong hug. " woah," I say struggling to breathe., " you...need....to...stop...working...out.." I said ."oops," he laughed, giving me one last squeeze and let go."how was summer break?" He said while picking up my notebook and handing it to me. "Thanks, and not bad." "Well do you mind coming to my house later?"
"No,not at all, I just need to ask my mom though." "Cool, I'll see ya in 3rd period" (science)
"Ya, I'll see you then." As I walked away I blushed right in time. Its awesome being best friends with your crush💞. I took a step to my class, 104, and sat down to get my math on.
