Chapter 25

A few hours later, we were back at the bunker. We went inside and told Bobby and Kevin about what happened. I excused myself and went to my room. I was just sitting there thinking until a though accrued to me.

I want to meet my parents. I want to talk to them, show them who I am and how strong I am. I want them to tell me to my face that they don't want me. I need to meet them, just this once. I know Sam and Dean won't take me to them, but maybe Cas will.

Cas? I thought. Could you help me?

A few seconds later he was in front of me. "Hello Violet."

"Hey Cas, uh could you do me a huge favor?"

"What is it?" He asked looking down at me.

"I want to meet my parents."

"I don't think that is a good idea."

"Please? I just want to talk to them! Just one time, please?" I begged. I looked up at him and his eyes softened.

"Fine, but just this once." He sighed and grabbed my arm. With a flutter of wings we were standing outside of a house. "They live there, do you want me to come with you?"

"Uh sure." I said not taking my eyes off the house. "Let's go." We walked up to the door and I knocked.

A man opened the door and clinched his jaw. "I thought we told you to never come back?!" He yelled at Cas.

"I made him bring me here." I said and he looked down at me.

"You're not?" He asked with wide eyes.

"It's me. Violet." I said. He slammed the door in our faces. "Great." I muttered. Cas started to knock again. "Cas, let's just go. It was a waste of time. They don't want to talk to me."

"We're not leaving until you get to talk to them." He said and started knocking harder.

The door opened and this time it was both the man, and a woman. My mother and father. My mother looked at me and her eyes got glassy, but her facial expression was still hard and un-readable.

"Hi." I said, "I just wanted to talk to you. I know you don't want me, but I wanted to meet you."

They walked out onto the porch and closed the door. "Hello Violet." My mother said. "You are all grown up."

"I'll be seventeen in a few weeks." I nodded.

"We know." My father said not looking at me. He looked at Cas disgusted and then back at the ground.

"I want to know why you don't want me." I blurted.

"Violet, it's just that we thought you were gone forever. We accepted that. We retired from hunting and started a family. Having you here would cause a lot of problems. Your brother and sisters, they don't know about you or what we did before we moved to Florida. Also, the prophecy, we can't deal with that! Even if we wanted you, we don't want our other children knowing about all the monsters and hunting, but you, it will always be a part of you. So we wouldn't be able to keep it from them. We are sorry." My mother explained.

I looked away and gripped onto Cas' arm. "I don't need you anyway." I clinched my jaw and looked up at them. "I have a new family, who love me for me. They are willing to deal with whatever the prophecy says and will help me get through it." I took a shakey breath and sighed, I won't be able to stop thinking about them, maybe if they tell me they don't want me, I wil hate them and just forget about them. It would be a lot better than being sad and wanting to be with them. "Just so I can stop thinking about you, tell me that you don't want me. I need to hear it."

"Violet. We don't want you." My mother said in a monotone voice. I looked away and then my father started talking.

"We don't want you, we don't love you. You are dead to us! Do us all a favor and never show your face around here again! We don't want you corrupting our children!" He yelled. Okay, that was a little much...

I looked up at Cas and he nodded as my father started to open his mouth again we were sitting in the bunker. "Violet, are you okay?" Cas asked when I didn't let go of his arm. "I know your dad said more than you wanted but he didn't mean all of that."

"Yes he did. But it's fine. Like I said, I don't need them. I have all of you." I stared at one of the book shelves. "I'm fine."

"I don't think you're fine." He said.

"Why not?"

"You are still holding onto my arm." He said and I looked at my hand.

I slowly let go, "Sorry." I told him.

"No problem." He smiled down at me. He smiled! He rarely smiles at me! Then he did another surprising thing. He hugged me.

I buried my face into his chest and sighed. Then I heard, "What's going on?"

I let go of Cas and turned around to see Dean, Sam, Bobby and Kevin. "I took Vi to talk to her parents. Her father said some harsh things so I was comforting her." Cas answered Dean's question.

He nodded smirking. "Uh huh. Well Vi, you okay?"

"Yeah, I don't care what they say. You guys are my family, not them." I smiled at them.

"Awww!" Sam cooed and they all came over and gave me a hug.

When we pulled away Cas left and the rest of us ate dinner. Then I went to my room and as I was checking my phone, Marley popped into my room. "Violet, I have a plan!"

"For what?" I asked confused.

"For when Charlie and Chris try to take you, on your birthday." She said.

"Oh! Okay, shoot." I said to her.

"I will bring my army with me, but because of that, I will have to be a bit late. You can have all of your friends come with you and then I will be there soon after." She told me her plan.

"Okay, so you will for sure be there?" I asked pretending to be scared.

"Yes. Now I have to go, I just wanted to tell you. See you then!" She said and disappeared.

I sighed and went and told the guys, then thatnight, told Charlie and Chris. They all were pleased because it works well withour original plan. That night Charlie, Chris and I just hung out in my dream. It feels like everything's falling into place.
