It was after lunch when it all happened. The six kids were all in recess in the auditorium with Jakie to supervise them. The children were all zombie tag. The six children would split into pairs and play "Rock, paper, scissors," and the three "losers" would be the zombies and count up to ten to chase the non-zombies around and through rows of chairs before consuming (tagging) them until there was none left.

After a few rounds, several more kids from other classes joined in before everyone stopped playing and gathered around Jakie. The six kindergartens were horsing around Jakie until she heard a loud "THUD!"

Jakie turned around and saw Joshua lying in n the flooring faced up and crying. Very quickly, she picked the child up and placed him on a chair. She grabbed an ice pack from the fridge and gave held it onto Joshua's head. As she "investigated," it all turned out to be an accident. Joshua was just lying down on his back and bumped his head against the floor.

Of course, little Joshua blamed the floor. "The floor was bad, Miss Jakie."
