"Castle Rock?"

6 year-old Teddy was standing on the porch of their home with his mother and father.

"Why?" Teddy asked. His father had just announced his new job opportunity in Castle Rock. This had been a surprise to not only Teddy, but his mother as well.

"We've been through this! I'm getting a new job!" The father repeated. A confused Teddy kept asking questions.

"When?"

The father sighed and decided not to answer.

"I'm not sure this is such a good idea." A hesitant mother said.

"What are you to make the decision? I'm the one that keeps this house running!" A raging father boomed.

Scared of what his father might do to him, Teddy ran inside the house. Whenever Teddy felt his father was getting angry, he knew he had to hide or he might get beaten.

He ran and hid behind a lounge, seconds before his father stormed into the room. Teddy felt his ear get hot. This always seemed to happen whenever his father was in a mood.

"Pack your bags, you little squirm! We're leaving in the morning." He announced before leaving. A minute later little Teddy emerged from his hiding place.

He carefully tip-toed to the front door, where he listened to his parent's conversation.

"This isn't good for him! He won't cope!" The mother defended her child.

"He needs to toughen up!" The father bellowed. Teddy scrunched up his nose but continued to listen.

"We don't have the money to do this!" The mother said. Teddy leaned further towards the door. He lost his balance, stumbling over and revealing himself to his parents.

"You eaves-dropping pig!" The father yelled, heading straight for Teddy.
