This is partly cannon and partly HetaLoid fact.
Germany and Italy once played HetaOni once.
Italy was crying while Germany had to spend time with his dogs to calm down after the game.
He felt guilty that he was confused about Holy Roman Empire.
When he saw him in the game, he surprisingly looked like himself.
Germany was buy posting Japan's HetaLoid and when he listened to it, he soon realized that the song that Japan's song he was playing on the piano was an actual song.
Germany had to calm down Italy before having that idea to make him feel better.
The only word that Italy could say for a day was "iNSaNiTY" in an odd way and he wrote it down in some sort of journal with weird capitalization.
When Germany and Italy were recording for Hetaloid, Italy only sounded mechanical because of his sadness he felt about Holy Roman Empire.
But when they finished recording, Italy's eyes were closed and he was back to his old self.
Germany's top song on his playlist is his duet with Italy.
