Sound of the tyers smashing against the stones they were here earlier than planned. Nicci was getting closer

"Your parents have turned up?" She awkwardly bit her lips shovelling from foot to foot

"Yeah.. Nice walk?" Any minuet my mum will call and split this up

"Yeah was.. Working huh? Like old times?" Playfully tugged at my jacket like years ago.

"Yeah need my help and its therapy"

"For what? Why you need therapy" her hand loosely and swiftly let go

"Darling" mum bellowed

"mum... Coming?" I strided away from nicci to great mum

"Darling.."
"Mum good journey? Your here early?"
"Great journey! Nicci okay? You okay?"
"Stop worrying.. Dad let me help you get Those"

Dad was puffed out, washed out looking, pale grey colour.

"Dad go sit down.. I'll take bags up"
"Don't tell your mother" dads tone was serious.

"Oui Brian go get the logs will you" demanded at him, as they sat curled up in chair together. Legs and fingers linked, maybe a tad jealous

"What's rattled your cage Landon"

"Either get the logs or take the cases..... Brian" catty tone as obvious

"Fine fine I'll get the logs"

Closing the kitchen door i shut up the warehouse sending the lads home.. Pile of paperwork calling my name, unread emails, missed calls you name it I had to sort it!

"Coffee?.... See nothing changes son" Asked poking her head round door

"Oh I know.. He's my shadow even more so than ever" patting him on his sleepy head

"Coffee?"

"Please!!" Rocking back in the chair deciding where to start, emails? Paperwork? Or listen to the absent phone first.
